Network problem: packets are lost in domU
Hello, I am having big problems with Xen virtual network interfaces. First I tried typical bridge support, no luck. The packets sent from dom0 to domU seemed to disappear somewhere. Then, to debug the problem I have set up a simple point-to-point link and still have the same problem. I am using Xen 3.0.4-1 and Linux 2.6.16.x in both dom0 and domU. I have tried kernel 2.6.16.35 and 2.6.16.41. I

Problem with routing decisions, and multihop
Hi! I have many problems getting this thing to work. There''s a host with two network interfaces, where there are two routers to Internet in two separated networks. The host uses multihop routing for deciding to which router send the packets... but the routing decision is wrong made. Some packets with source address of one NIC, go to other network. I have a host with three NICs in it:

I am trying to get a centos 6 system on the internet with a tethered iPhone. I can see the phone with lsusb as bus 001 device 011. A post on stackoverflow said I would need to run "# ip link set usb0 up && dhcpcd usb0" But how do I reference my phone in that command?

Patch for boot-time USB hangs in 4.9-PRERELEASE
Could people who are experiencing boot-time hangs in 4.9-PRERELEASE try the following patch to see if it helps? I've had one positive report so far, but it would be helpful to get more feedback to determine if this is the right fix to be committed. The problem was that interrupts were getting unmasked too early in the boot process, causing an interrupt storm that usually occurred while USB

The strange case of xen_netback not returning ARP replies
Hello, I''m facing a rather strange problem with the netback interface. My setup involves a netvm, which has some physical network interfaces assigned, and a client VM where a net front is running (exposed as eth0) and which is connected to that netvm (via vif42.0 interface, as seen in the netvm on the dumps below). Now, the netvm has two physical network interfaces assigned: 1) A

[FreeBSD] Fix for ServerWorks HT1000 in upcoming 7.1?
Hi, I have a server (Dell PowerEdge SC1435, ServerWorks HT1000) on which I'd like to try installing FreeBSD. I've already failed to make 7.0 work on this box and was wondering if you have information about the behavior of the upcoming 7.1 on this hardware. I've been following the "HT1000 chipset errata saga" thread, and the commits by sos@ to CVS (around Jan 2008), but have

F20 Virt-Manager with MacVTap not working
Hello, I've setup a VM with default networking (NAT) and this works fine but hosts on my LAN can't get to the VM since it uses NAT. When I try to set network to use MacVTap with either default or bridged I get no networking for the VM. Any hints around this? I would like to have the VM's on the same LAN as my host and other machines. I don't care if the VM host can't reach the
