2 mouse cursors visible using a steam app
All, I am finally stumped enough by something to post in the forum! Basically whilst running a game through steam (either from steam itself or running the exe directly) I get 2 cursors. Now one of them is the one I would expect and works properly, however the second one is kinda anchored to the middle of the screen and looks like the gnome cursor. If you move your mouse, the middle cursor tries

Diablo 2 - Two mouse cursors
Hello, I'm running Diablo 2 under Wine. It runs beautifully, except I get two mouse cursors: the game cursor, and the X cursor. This can get kind of disconcerting sometimes, because they're not always colocated. Any hints? I have DxGrab = Y. -- Soli Deo Gloria -Rob French

Hint to overcome the problem with animated cursors??
Hi I'm looking for a instruction (for dummies) about how to overcome the problem of invisible mouse pointers (animated cursors) that seem to be common amongs strategy games. (example: perimeter) I'm a newbie with linux and i've been spoiled by the point&click and plug&play usage of computers since Amiga 500 around 1987. :) kind regards - kimmok

R 1.9.0 and cursors
Hi all, I have successfully compiled and installed (OS: Linux Mandrake 9.2) the last devel version of R (ver. 1.9.0). All seems to go well, but now I cannot use the cursors for exploring back the command history (when I press the cursor key the following characters are shown: ^[[A , or ^[[B etc.). Hints and suggestions are welcomed. Thanks. Paolo -- ----------------------------- Paolo

ActiveRecord and Cursors (with PostgreSQL)
Hi, Is there a way to access database cursors using Rails, preferably through ActiveRecord? I believe the standard usage loads the entire result set into memory. However, for extremely large results (or when I don''t want to abuse memory levels), this is sometimes not possible. While it may not be feasible for a web application to process huge amounts of data, I want to run this as

Animated Cursor Support
Is there an easier way of getting animated cursors rather than having to re-compile the whole thing? I'm referring to Command & Conquer 3. I got it to work, but just no animated cursors. The patching referred to in this article: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=7440 gives me errors. So back to the original question.
