I'm currently fighting my way through the dovecot configuration pages and endless options to see if I can just get my mail from the server. Thus far no joy but dovecot seems to be working if I could figure out the configuration. My process thus far has been : 1) read docs 2) try a config change 3) fail 4) goto (1) I just saw an error while trying to read my /var/mail/dclarke good 'ol

OpenSSH compile problem on Solaris 8 & 9
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this... the OpenSSH Mailing Lists page is a little ambiguous. I've tried to compile OpenSSH 3.0.1p1 & 3.0.2p1 on two different Solaris platforms, one running Solaris 8 and the other Solaris 9 beta. It configures fine, but the make dies: gcc -I/opt/include -Wall -Wpointer-arith -Wno-uninitialized -I. -I. -I/opt/include -I/opt/include

[Bug 1085] Intermittent ssh core dumps
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1085 ------- Comment #13 from dtucker at zip.com.au 2006-10-03 20:36 ------- I'm now pretty sure this an OpenSSL bug. I helped someone else with a crash in the same place (DH GEX) and was able to reproduce it. It was a caused by a problem in UltraSPARC assembler implementation of bn_sub_words(). Since it's in the assembler code, building

serial console oddities with CentOS Linux release 6.0 (Final)
It seems as if /etc/inittab has undergone some changes. That doesn't seem to be related to my issues however. I am able to setup the grub.conf ( menu.lst if you like ) to use the serial console ttyS0 at 9600 baud and the usual bits. However I can not actually see the GRUB menu at boot time. I see nothing until the server begins to boot and then I can see everything. However the grub menu is

Problem with ipp2p 0.8.2
Hello Guys ( and girls, if is there any here :) ), I have a box with IPP2P Installed on it (Debian Etch, ipp2p 0.8.2 tarball, iptables 1.3.6 and kernel 2.6.21), and I''ve identified a problem: I use iptables to apply a mark on the traffic that ipp2p classifies as p2p. In my tc rules, I have granted bandwidth to many traffic classes (http, ssh, streaming, games, p2p, etc) and one

ipp2p 0.8.2 fix for iptables 1.3.6
There are some problems with iptables 1.3.6 loading ipp2p dynamic library libipt_ipp2p.so. One would usually get error like this: # iptables -m ipp2p -h iptables v1.3.6: X Couldn''t load match `ipp2p'' Solution is to use gcc instead of ld to create the library. It worked for me on Debian Sarge, but maybe someone else could try on other distributions? -- Vytautas

Gnash 0.8.2 rpm for CentOS 4?
Does anyone know if there is a Gnash rpm available for CentOS 4? I have tried compiling it myself but run into dependency problems. I looked here http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/gnash/ but there is only 0.8.2 for el5 not el4. -- Robert Arkiletian Eric Hamber Secondary, Vancouver, Canada Fl_TeacherTool http://www3.telus.net/public/robark/Fl_TeacherTool/ C++ GUI tutorial

Help with Qemu 0.8.2
Thanks, I have downloaded the thoughtwave build of Qemu 0.9.0 which does not appear to support kqemu as the Qemu project v0.8.2_cvs20070120_REV_2007.01.24 version does. I did find that running Win98se with kqemu accelerator enabled consistantly caused Solaris 10 8/07 to freeze completely; however Win2K worked perfectly. I built and installed the tuntap devices for Solaris from the sources here
