Thanks, I have downloaded the thoughtwave build of Qemu 0.9.0 which does not
appear to support kqemu as the Qemu project v0.8.2_cvs20070120_REV_2007.01.24
version does. I did find that running Win98se with kqemu accelerator enabled
consistantly caused Solaris 10 8/07 to freeze completely; however Win2K worked
perfectly.
I built and installed the tuntap devices for Solaris from the sources here below
:-
http://www.whiteboard.ne.jp/~admin2/tuntap/
However, when I tried to get tunctl to build it failed with an include file
errors in net/if.h ; building this should allow be to configure tap device
without calling the sol_qemu_tap.
Could Qemu be extended so that the tap/tun functionality is incorporated into
the project, so that
-net would support, for example to get unrestricted network access.
-net direct,ip=X.X.X.X,subnet=Y.Y.Y.Y,hostif=interfaceN
