Can someone explain this statement?
I was reading through the doc''s last night and made a bunch of notes. One of the things that I wanted to learn more about was this statement: As Puppet matures, it expected that the file element will be used less and less to manage content, and instead native elements will be used to do so. Can someone please explain what this means, what the plan is, and what type of concept you are

What is the REAL version of Xen in 5.1?
I have a 5.1 system with Xen installed. The package says 3.0.3, but an 'xm info' shows 3.1. So what is it? Is it 3.0.3 patched to 3.1 or is it 3.1 packaged as 3.0.3? And if it's the former, does anybody have any idea why upstream wouldn't just deploy 3.1 (now 3.1.2) which is more stable? -Ross ______________________________________________________________________ This e-mail,

AcroRead failing miserably in CentOS 5.0
I could swear that this was working just last week, but now when I run the Adobe Acrobat reader, it hangs. If I run it "directly" (/usr/bin/acroread) with -DEBUG as the first argument, I get an infinite loop of: expr: syntax error I tried removing and reinstalling it, but no change. Any ideas? -- Mark Hull-Richter DATAllegro (www.datallegro.com) 85 Enterprise, Second Floor, Aliso

CentOS 5 x86: Missing features
Hi, I am surprised how some features are missing from CentOS 5. So far, I found missing: 1) GNOME Session does not prompt for saving on log out. 2) There isn't a "Run" option in the GNOME menus for running programs.

vsftp
I'm having an odd behavior with vsftp on all CentOS 4 servers... maybe 3 too, but I'm not on those much.
