[PATCH] drm/nouveau/mc: set ga100_mc_device storage-class-specifier to static
smatch reports drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nvkm/subdev/mc/ga100.c:51:1: warning: symbol 'ga100_mc_device' was not declared. 5.9-rc7 oops in nvkm_udevice_info() w/ GA100
hey, I'm seeing an Oops when nouveau loads (see below). I've verified that this is because both device->chip and device->name are NULL prior to the strncpy()s at the end of nvkm_udevice_info(). Bisect shows that this started happening after: commit 24d5ff40a732633dceab68c6559ba723784f4a68 Author: Karol Herbst <kherbst at redhat.com> Date: Tue Apr 28 18:54:02 2020 +0200

[PATCH v2 0/9] drm/nouveau: Various fixes for GP10B
From: Thierry Reding <treding at nvidia.com> Hi Ben, here's a revised subset of the patches I had sent out a couple of weeks ago. I've reworked the BAR2 accesses in the way that you had suggested, which at least for GP10B turned out to be fairly trivial to do. I have not looked in detail at this for GV11B yet, but a cursory look showed that BAR2 is accessed in more places, so the

suspend to ram does not work with Geforce 310M (NVA8)
Hello. Minimal testcase for my problem: No X running, just a TTY. Use of the nouveau kernel module as of today (or any older) with an up to date vanilla kernel. Hardware: DELL Vostro 3500 with Geforce 310M. To suspend to ram I use this script, as suggested in Documentation/power/s2ram.txt: #!/bin/sh sync echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace echo mem > /sys/power/state When I try to suspend to

[PATCH 00/11] drm/nouveau: Enable GP10B by default
From: Thierry Reding <treding at nvidia.com> Hi, the GPU on Jetson TX2 (GP10B) does not work properly on all devices. Why exactly is not clear, but there are slight differences between the SKUs that were tested. It turns out that the biggest issue is that on some devices (e.g. the one that I have), pulsing the GPU reset twice as is done in the current code (once as part of the power-ungate

Package: xen-hypervisor-4.1-amd64 Version: 4.1.4-3+deb7u1 Severity: normal I tried GRUB_CMDLINE_XEN="dom0_mem=8192M": that delivers 6964868K total, then crashes when used=2837436K free=4127432K. By crash I mean the gnome screen was blown away, replaced by a black screen with white log lines. That seems to happen every time dom0 uses a large amount of memory. After setting

3.0.0-rc2: Xen: High amount of kernel "reserved" memory, about 33% in 256MB DOMU
Hi, another issue I''m seeing with 3.0-rc2 and Xen is that there is an unexpectedly high amount of kernel reserved memory. I suspect that Linux allocates page table entries and corresponding data structures for the whole 6GB areas of the provided ''physical RAM map'' even though it has rather big unusable holes in it. Bug#755753: xen-hypervisor-4.1-amd64: xen crashes at random
Package: xen-hypervisor-4.1-amd64 Version: 4.1.4-3+deb7u1 Severity: normal Hello, I was running Xen for a few years and after a PSU failure I never got the system working stable again. I suspected damage to the board so I replaced everything in the system piece by piece but Xen enabled kernel always crashes even with only Dom0 running when moderate amount of IO happens on the box. kvm seems

video issue - Intel Atom based motherboard D2500HN
Hi all, I recently bought a Intel D2500HN motherboard with Intel GMA 3600 video card. I want to install FreeBSD 9-Release on it via PXE, but after booting the system, it seems that video card driver doesn't work properly. Have a look at this picture: http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/5648/20120714393.jpg I've tried the # vidcontrol 80x25 but unfortunately it doesn't help. Do

Phoronix Xen vs KVM vs Virtualbox benchmark with Ubuntu 11.10
Hello, http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=ubuntu_1110_xenkvm&num=1 Ubuntu 11.10 with Xen 4.1.1 and Linux 3.0. Xen seems to be doing very poorly on that benchmark. If someone has time to repeat that benchmark it would be good.. Comparing the results to those from Stefano from XenSummit 2011 NA there has be something wrong.. the results at XenSummit were pretty much the
