When trying to build the centos5 srpm under x86_64 I am getting the following error: Checking for unpackaged file(s): /usr/lib/rpm/check-files /var/tmp/xen-3.2.0-0xs-root error: Installed (but unpackaged) file(s) found: /usr/lib/xen/boot/hvmloader RPM build errors: Installed (but unpackaged) file(s) found: /usr/lib/xen/boot/hvmloader Anyone have any ideas as to what causes this?

I have a few dvr's that I am contemplating converting to Zoneminder (don't know any other app) and would prefer to use CentOS over fedora obviously but the only rpm I see exists for Fedora. I don't want the hassle of manually compiling this, as we have our own config mgmt. Anyone using this rpm (srpm recompiled) in CentOS or know of a solution that exists? Thanks! jlc

What is the best procedure for doing this on a minimal install of CentOS without a gui? Can I install all the dependencies through yum that a `#yum install xen kernel-xen xen-libs` would bring in, then simply install the xen-3.2.0-0xs.centos5.i386.rpm and xen-libs-3.2.0-0xs.centos5.i386.rpm? I want to build the 64bit version of Xen 3.2, they only show one srpm available. I assume if its compiled on a x86_64 version of CentOS 5.1 it will be a 64bit rpm when its done? I am aware its not good to build as root but out of curiosity, if I used a vm that I would later destroy, is the only caveat to building as root potential damage to the build system, or can the actual rpm be built

When I use yum to install xen 3.2.0 and xen-libs it also pulls in then centos kernel-xen? I thought the srpm contained all that was needed besides obvious deps like bridge utils etc? To get this running, I change the grub stanza kernel-xen creates to have the kernel point to xen.gz-3.2 and one of the module lines to point to my custom initrd for pciback loading. hi, for some reason i can not get vista ultimate to install. i get to the page where i enter the user name and password and at the next reboot, it just gets stuck in the boot loader - see attachment. the cpu usage goes to 50% and that was it. has anyone else experienced this ? it does boot a couple of times, but i guess that it is from the installation image. created domU using the virtual
