dynamic source auth?
hello,
i'm sure that this has been asked before, but can't find it...
is there a way to authenticate a source dynamically, i.e. from a script/
database? i only see the static option in the icecast config xml.
thanks, uno

Icecast on Raspberry Pi
Is it possible to make Icecast run, for serving no more than 16 listeners, on Raspberry Pi? I simply want to dip my toe into the Linux universe, and this would be a fine excuse for me to try RP if it's doable. Thanks.

mount type=default problems
Which Icecast Version are you using? This sounds like a bug that was
fixed in recent versions.
2.4 is not exact enough, we need to know the full version number, please
:)

Re: why there havn't "app_meetme.so"fileaboutasterisk1.4.0?
Removed the DEPENDS_app_meetme=ZAPTEL from the file menuselect.makedeps And in menuselect.makeopts I removed the DEPSFAILED line that had meetme in it. It then compiled.

Does VAD/DTX work without VBR and Preprocessor
Hello,
I'm try to run speex on some ARM processor.
I'd like to cut away some speex features including VBR, ABR and preprocessor
while still supporting VAD/DTX.
But I've found some puzzles in the source code regarding VAD as below,
1) there are VAD related codes in the source file preprocess.c.
Will VAD still work If I don't use the source file preprocess.c?
2)The speex manual

Is anyone other than me having trouble dialing out via IAXTEL? I havn't
changed my config files in weeks but seems that IAXTel calls (800 and FWD)
stopped working in the past week sometime.

Time to lock down v1.1?
Isn't it about time to lock down added functionality to v1.1 and fix
the remaining bugs?
There has been a significant amount of traffic on the cvs list, the irc
and other channels with folks spending time adding new functionality to
Head. Think its time to lock it down, fix the bugs that have been introduced,
and get to "something" that the _majority_ can agree to call v1.1 Stable

Getting kernel source for 2.6.9-42.ELsmp
Hello!
I need to get an arcnet device driver up and running. Normally it
appears to be distributed with linux, but not installed. So, I need to
compile and install it, naturally.
So, where is the kernel souce for 2.6.9-42.ELsmp? I can find kernel
source for 2.6.9.
BTW, I obtained 2.6.9 and tried compiling it, but all I got was *.o
files and
insmod: error inserting 'arcnet.o`: -1

voice files attached to * distro (*.gdm files) havn't good quality.
What can be done to improve it? I'm using alsa drivers.

Overhead Paging Systems...
Hey all,
I know you all saw the topic and let out a groan. However, I understand
how to get an overhead paging system to work with respect *, however I am
now looking for a small(?) paging amp, that I could hook 3 or 4 horns to.
I would like to just have the * extention be routed to a soundcard and out
an output, so I would like an amp that is voice signal activated.
Has anyone found anything
