iTunes 4
Last I checked, iTunes was unable to play my static playlist ogg vorbis stream. Assuming this is expected behaviour and not an anomaly; Does iTunes 4 resolve this issue? --thanks Michael Edwards http://www.walledcity.ca <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to

I can listen to a stream locally but not from anywhere else.
Also don't forget that the full version of WinAmp is required to play oggs. The lite version doesn't support it. iTunes can play local .ogg files but not streams if you download the ogg components from qtcomponents.sf.net. I haven't messed with real player, and I have no intention of doing so. Joel Karl Heyes wrote: > On Mon, 2005-01-31 at 16:46, Brian Beck wrote: >

what player for Mac OS 8/9?
The software page's only currently maintained Ogg Vorbis player for Mac-people is the iTunes plugin that seems to be for OS X only. Is there no player for Mac OS 8 or 9? <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-request@xiph.org' containing only the word

I'm gonna recommend the Audion 3 for Mac, and just tell people to follow directions from the dv8 website for the PC. Here goes: Went to the diskset and clicked...got a menu...two Mac options...onc called "Legacy Mac OS," the other was for Mac OSX, which I don't have. So

New CURL version dependency
I just checked IceCast out from CVS in an attempt to compile it again (I went through the whole build cycle just a couple of months ago), and I came across this error when I was building it: <p>source='yp.c' object='yp.o' libtool=no \ depfile='.deps/yp.Po' tmpdepfile='.deps/yp.TPo' \ depmode=gcc3 /bin/sh ../depcomp \ gcc -DPACKAGE_NAME=\"\"

listening troubles
I have successfully installed Icecast 2 on my server and I am using Foobar2000 with Oddsock on a remote machine. It works great on iTunes with the name of song and artist showing up. But on the Windows Media player, my stream name shows up as the song. RealPlayer on Windows has all sorts of trouble ... works on OSX though (but I don't really care about RealPlayer for this stream) .....

Adding more to stats.xml WAS:Source XML for status.xsl
/me grumbles about upcoming finals: I note that the mountpoint entry displays the current songs title and artist, but not the album. In the particular case of my station, album is often more important (recognizable) as there are a variety of pop/classical artists who do music for anime. So I'd like to add an album nature but am going to need a quick overview on how stats.xml is generated.

64kpbs listening test results
A large group 64kbps listening test has just come to an end, organised through the Hydrogenaudio[1] audio discussion board (and managed expertly by Roberto Amorim). Eight codecs were tested on twelve different samples, designed to cover a wide range of musical genres. The codecs tested were[2]: * Ahead/Nero 6.0.0.15 HE AAC VBR profile Streaming * Ogg Vorbis post-1.0 CVS -q 0 * MP3pro (from

Does Winamp have Vorbis decode built-in? Winamp just put the finishing touches on their own vorbis plugin, and we expect it to ship in the next version. Sonique has already had Vorbis for some time (millions of

How to add new AVR targets?
Is there anything I can do about it? BTW: gcc is loosing the AVR backend, so I would assume, there will be a greater interest to this in llvm compared to the past. How to add new AVR targets?
Hi Dylan, looks ok now. One thing: the ISR is now: __vector_21: ; @__vector_21 __vector_21$local: sei push r0 push r1 in r0, 63 push r0 clr r0 push r24 lds r24, v1 sts v2, r24 pop r24 pop r0 out 63, r0 pop r1 pop r0 reti There are unneccessary push/pops of r1 and r0 too, since the clr is useless ... Recieving Ogg streams on a Mac?
I have yet to speak to a single Mac user who has successfully received a live or archived Ogg stream. I'm been told neither MacAmp nor Quicktime will accept streams, they only play files. Are there any Mac users on this list who can recommend a player (from personal experience) which actually plays Ogg streams? db http://www.subgenius.com/ts/hos.html --- >8 ---- List archives:

Listening to Ogg streams with MacOSX
This comes from Indymedia audio list, Whamb! should probobally be listed on the vorbis.com software pages. ----- Forwarded message from nathaniel t <vsea75@hotmail.com> ----- The whole world doesn't use Linux or Windows. Some tiny fraction of computer users use Macs. I didn't realize until yesterday evening how difficult and mysterious it is to try to listen to an icecast ogg
