multiple shout streams
I'm running multiple instances of ices. Also, I found what the problem
was with the constant stream. I was getting a default stream because I
was using my local ip address to run the server, and when I tried to
access the different streams from my outside ip address something got
confused. I'm running it from my outside ip address and everything works
fine. Does anyone know a what to run

relaying streams
How do I setup relaying in icecast? I tried editing my icecast.conf file
like
alias techo http://192.76.151.253:8000
and like
alias add techo http://192.76.151.253:8000
but neither seemed to work when I tried to open

Directory Listings
That's a little odd, there are streams listed at yp.icecast.org...
What's up with that?
And of course my question on other directory servers still stands.

Adding more to stats.xml WAS:Source XML for status.xsl
/me grumbles about upcoming finals:
I note that the mountpoint entry displays the current songs title and artist,
but not the album. In the particular case of my station, album is often more
important (recognizable) as there are a variety of pop/classical artists who
do music for anime. So I'd like to add an album nature but am going to need a
quick overview on how stats.xml is generated.

Directory Listings
The default configuration file for icecast comes with a directory listing for
oddsock, but not icecast.org or any others. How do I set up the xml file to
list me on icecast.org.
And on a related note, what other directorys can I list the server on?

difference in sort order linux/Windows (R.2.11.0)
Dear R users,
I'm a bit perplexed with the effect sort has here, as it is different on
Windows vs. linux.
It makes my factor levels and subsequent plots different on the two systems.
Given:
types <- c("PC-D-Euro-0", "PC-D-Euro-1", "PC-D-Euro-2", "PC-D-Euro-3",
"PC-D-Euro-4", "PC-D-Euro-5", "PC-D-Euro-6",

listening to ogg with a Mac
I believe that you can get plugins for iTunes (OSX) that allow you to play ogg
files. Be aware that this does not mean they will play ogg vorbis streams.

flac files playable in iTunes 5.0.1 ?
Hi,
Is the recent version 0.1.5 (08.05.2006) of XiphQT compatible with
iTunes 5.0.1 and Mac OSX 10.4? I am trying to get flac files to play
in my iTunes and hope I don't have to upgrade iTunes and get all the
junk that comes with it. i already have ogg support, so this is an
incremental improvement.

Using a custom library in iTunes
I have installed iTunes in Wine! Yay!
However, I have a slight problem. In order for iTunes to be any use to me, I need to access my music library, which is stored on my data partition. Usually, one holds the shift key while opening iTunes, and it gives the option to choose library or create a new one. However, in my Wine install of iTunes, this doesn't work, it just opens it to the default

Loading iTunes
I am informed that it is possible to load iTunes in Wine using Ubuntu 9.04 but am experiencing problems.
In Ubuntu I downloaded the Wine package via Synaptic which duly displayed in my applications menu. Having achieved that I then loaded iTunes the version for XP and Vista. When I attempt to open the iTunes it is then that I hit problems.

iTunes?
Hi All,
If you would please suffer a Fedora Code 13 question on a CentOS mailing
list, I
have a Linux customer with Fedora Code 13 who loves it but is about to dump
it because he really, really wants iTunes. (He owns an iPod and an iPhone.)
None of the Linux utilities quite work right and he wants to buy music from
the iTunes store as well. Plus he wants to synchronize his contacts list.
So, I

iTunes/WineTools - Status?
Hi,
I was just wondering what the status of iTunes under and standard
version of Wine is and whether any version of WineTools is yet set up
to install it? I visited the WineTools website but didn't find iTunes
on the supported software list. I understand that it runs under
Crossover Office but I tried and was not able to get it to work.
Thanks,

Ubuntu Natty / WINE / iTunes, uninstall
Hi all,
I installed Ubuntu Natty Narwahl ,then WINE and finally iTunes (using WINE) but have found iTunes is simply too slow and many features don't work as they should. So I've decided to do away with iTunes and just stick to one of the Linux players.
However, whenever I use the WINE uninstaller, the progress window says the operation completed but the iTunes (and Bonjour, etc) names,
