mp3 stream instead of "icecast-auth-user: 0"
Hello, just wanted to ask if there are any other headers icecast would understad apart icecast-auth-user icecast-auth-message icecast-auth-timelimit ? continuing my previous post "listener redirection to informational mount" i feel a big demand to respond to unsuccsessful authentification attempts by sending back short audio message to the listener in the form like this: <?php

wine and jack => segfault?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I am new to this list and just wanted to ask a question regarding Wine and JACK: I'm running JACK as my sound daemon and today I installed Wine (from the APT-Repository). I setup my .wine directory with the help of winetools. So far everything works fine, except sound output (tested with wmplayer and a simple wav file). So I selected

Vorbis in Windows Media Player 9, (partial) success
As I said on http://wiki.xiph.org/ClientSupport I managed to get WMP9 under Windows 2003 to work with OGG vorbis files. Requisite : OggDS 0.9.9.5 - they can be opened with the Open... dialog and WMP does not complain any more that it is an unsupported file format - they can be dragged from explorer into WMP and WMP will play them without any complaint - they can be added to the media library.

Where is this WiMP plugin that supports Icecast2 Vorbis streams? I would be very much interested in that. And where also is the Real plugin?

Icecast in Macromedia Flash
No audio with IE 5.5 SP2 on Windows 2k. Sorry for the bad news. But why? Maybe it's a cross-site-error so that IE blocks access to a different server for security-reasons? Could you please put the player under the web-root of your icecast2-server and give us the links? Maybe that helps - cause then the audio is coming from the same URL. <p>Regards, Stefan On 4 Dec 2003 at 20:23,

Icecast in Macromedia Flash
Hi, Is there anybody running Internet Explorer 5 on Windows? Since v5 works on MAC but v6 doesn't work on Windows, it would be very useful to know if the flash player works with Internet Explorer 5 on Windows. Lots of thanks in advance, MAX -----Original Message----- From: owner-icecast@xiph.org [mailto:owner-icecast@xiph.org] On Behalf Of Adon Irani Sent: Thursday, December 04, 2003 7:50

Proper way of updating winetools?
After updating from, say winetools-2.10-jo to 2.11-jo (by rpm), I can't use the wt startup scripts like ie6, wmplayer etc. any longer, and I get an error message similar to "winetools hasn't been configured for this user. Run the base setup ..." But doing so would erase my ~/.wine directory and thus destroy my old setup including all my program installations, which of course

Hi Adon, The database is also a nice idea, I didn't think about it. Just one suggestion, you could maybe run the script that updates the metadata to the DB on the ENCODER computer. It might reduce the delay... Icecast in Macromedia Flash
Hi Stephan, Thanks for reporting. Now we know it doesn't work on IE 5.5/Windows (but it works on IE5.2 on MAC). You had nice idea to store the file on the icecast2 root. Unfortunately, I already tried it few days ago and it didn't work either...
