unfortunately, the kind folks over at Nullsoft axed all icecast entries on their YP... yp.shoutcast.com 404 errors...
My icecast server (1.3.11) has been getting 404 errors for the past couple of days from the yp.shoutcast.com server. If I send the URL manually by telneting to the webserver at yp.shoutcast.com I get the following response: [chrisp@ayeka httpd]$ telnet yp.shoutcast.com 80 Trying 205.188.234.56... Personally speaking, I've been streaming for quite a while (barring a few networking problems) and I've always seen the same behavior from the shoutcast (Nullsoft) people.

ooh323 hang up after the call is answered
Hi, I'm trying to make ooh323 works with one asterisk box running 1.2.15 version. I can ring from a h.323 to SIP and SIP to H.323, but when the call is finished when the phone is answered. This is the log when I call from the H.323 device to a SIP device: Feb 23 10:57:32 VERBOSE[6096] logger.c: -- Executing Dial("OOH323/Telconet Mantaer-c5f8", "SIP/666|30|TtrwWC")

APPLAUD.WAV problems
Hi! I am very pleased with the progress that Ogg is making, expecially after I read the latest comparision tests on http://ff123.net/128test/instruct.html that put OGG on top aside with MPC. BUT the APPLAUD.WAV test case ( http://lame.sourceforge.net/download/samples/applaud.wav ) still produces **VERY** easily audible high-frequency artifacts when encoded with OGG RC3 up to q4.9 (!!!). [SOLVED] Re: [icecast-dev] Why doesn't yp.icecast.org show my stream?
Just following up to myself here so this will be in the archive for people. The problem was in darkice 0.7. There is a patch required to make it comply with the x-audiocast-public "standard". You can get the latest CVS to fix the problem. ------ Dave Hayes - Consultant - Altadena CA, USA - dave@jetcafe.org >>> The opinions expressed above are entirely my own <<<

Is it possible to see a copy of what is actually running? I'm probing the directory server with a quick script but I'm getting 400 URL must be absolute which I should figure out soon. >>

yp.shoutcast.com
Thanks to Adam Greenbaum for recently helping me get libshout fully icy compatible. I'll be releasing a new libshout and libshout-perl this weekend, but int he meantime, you can grab the head of CVS for each and you'll get the same thing. Also, he tracked down some yp.shoutcast.com problems, and I have checked in a solution that lists icecast servers on yp.shoutcast.com once again.

Shoutcast YP/WinAmp Directory Listing
From a technical standpoint, we could make this happen, however : 1. the Shoutcast listing protocol is completely different from the Icecast one, and so we'd have to code it and maintain it. 2. (more importantly) Shoutcast has, in the past, banned all non-shoutcast stations (and yes, even specifically icecast stations) from their directory. They've explicitly stated they don't
