AD across sites
Hi Guys, Just need some guidance regarding AD across sites. We have two sites, siteA and siteB. Until about a month ago both sites were running NT4 domains, separate domains but with the same names, let's say thedomain. We classicupgrades siteA to AD and now need to migrate siteB to AD. The sites are connected with a WAN link We think ,the steps involved will be the following -

Dynamic autoexpunge for IMAP folders
So, returning from the LDAP userdb does not change situation. As I said, I would to set folder names dynamicaly, without setting up a mailbox in advance. Here the problem is discussed http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2013-August/092023.html but no solution is found apart from defining the namespace in the static config, see here http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2013-August/092053.html As

routes.rb question.
I have a simple program that read all HTML files from a directory and returns parts of the content and the file names which are HREFs to those file. I build the HREF string dynamicaly as PATH_TO_DOC_ROOT + "file_name". My PATH_TO_DOC_ROOT = http://127.0.0.1:3000/docman/public/docs. So, the final link that I am interested in might look like this:

Numeric ids
HI, I had read from the rsync man page on transferring files using the user's numeric id and gid. I have a user which resides on 2 remote sites, having the same user names, but different uid and gid on both sites. I'm transferring the files as a root user. site A site B ----------------------------------------------- usr_A usr_A uid = 100 uid = 200 file1(usr_A)

Recursive file hieararchy with order precedence
Hello, Consider the following; You have a number of sites, all controlled by puppet. You have identified which files that are common to every host, and then which files are common to any particular site. Finally, you have the files which are private to the node in question. What I was wondering was if it would be possible to have some sort of directory hierarchy which has some kind of

Upgrading version 3.6 to 4.4 and Active Directory
First, background information. We are a large (geographically local) organization with 50 sites, including our HQ. Each site has a Debian Server running Samba in NT-Domain Controller mode. Each site is independent of the next, but are all named as a 3- or 4-character site code <http://example.com>. The workstations are connected, and working fine in our sites with the single servers. We had

AD across sites
Hi Rowland, Let?s say due to number of machines involved, it is not practical to drop them off the NT4 domain all at once. We are thinking are two possible options - VLAN the ports and only allow certain machines to talk to serverb - Or use the host deny and host allow in smb.conf, example Host allow 10.10.10.5 Host deny 10.10.10.0 Preferably the second one Other questions If we have bind9

Delaying table attribute load using ActiveRecord
Hi all, I came accross the following problem lately: I got a table with several BLOB fields (Oracle DB) and I have ActiveRecord reading those fields whenever records are loaded using finder methods. This behavior is just fine in 99.9% of the time, but considering BLOB data is not small, it is considerably slowing down search access :(. So basically, I thought about building a :has_one

Forwarding external traffic to another external server?
I''m trying to use my VPS server (single interface of course) as somewhat of a VPN gateway to my other location (which is not accessible directly from some places) where the openvpn server is running, and am kind of lost as to what to try next. I tried a redirect rule, but apparently shorewall didn''t like that (it just failed to start). I tried adding the rules via

I know, but it is not present in the string returned by the userdb, which is set up for testing userdb { driver = static args = namespace/inbox/mailbox/Bla/autoexpunge=6h } On Tue, Jan 17, 2017 at 11:03 AM, Thomas Leuxner <tlx at leuxner.net> wrote: > * Thorsten Hater <thorsten.hater at gmail.com> 2017.01.17 10:57: > > > Unfortunately, this yields the same

Bridging Firewall with windows OpenVPN road warriors?
I have previously set up an openvpn LAN to LAN bridging VPN so I know a little about what has to happen. The gateways on either ends were running older version of shorewall that did not support openvpn directly so I just basically opened ports for it and used bridging with tap interfaces. I am no longer using that vpn link to the other house but now that i''ve upgraded I would like
