MSVS: debug flac.exe uses release libogg_static.lib

The way we've been doing the Opus stuff is to have the project files expect a build in a parallel checkout. so: c:\dev\flac\FLAC.sln expects to find an ogg build in c:\dev\ogg\win32\VS2010\ Not as

PATCH for MSVC++ 2005 Express
Recently I downloaded MSVC++2005 Express Edition and it turns out that it wasn't possible to compile all files without several changes: 1) FLAC.sln has one extra "EndProject" line --- a\FLAC.sln 2013-06-17 11:57:09.000000000 +0400 +++ b\FLAC.sln 2013-08-16 20:19:34.630486700 +0400 @@ -157,7 +157,6 @@ EndProject Project("{4cefbc7c-c215-11db-8314-0800200c9a66}") =

Lets work towards a new version
Hi all, It sees that the most serious bug in the flac bug tracker: https://sourceforge.net/p/flac/bugs/413/ has been fixed in git. This fix alone is worth a new release so its time to work towards one. Things I need to do for this new release: * Deal with all current patches on the mailing list. * Review all bugs reported against 1.3.0 on the sf.net. * Testing and coordination of testing

FLAC Visual Studio file tidy-up?
Hi FLAC Devs! I'm looking to maybe move all the .sln and related Visual Studio project files (not the source .c and .h files!) into new directories under "win32\*" within the flac reppo. Any objections/tips or reasons to leave them as is? Many thanks, Orestes

Erik de Castro Lopo <mle+la at mega-nerd.com> wrote: > Is there not a later free (as in free beer) version? There are also 2008, 2010 and 2012 versions. VS2012 Express requires Win7 to run (though it can create programs compatible with WinXP). VS2010 Express works on WinXP. It is possible to compile x86-64 programs with it, but it requires Platform SDK (also free). VS2005 and 2008

[PATCH] Add Visual Studio 2008 Prject files
I pulled the test directory from 2003, but everything else from 2005. The 2005 files have more ?cross-compiling? targets than the 2003 ones. I fixed the various missing files in the new 2008 projects (misc.c and one other other are gone now). The only thing you could do which would make them more compact would be to get rid of the subdirectories under each vs-version. There is no real need for

[LLVMdev] VS build is broken again
If you look at an .sln file, there's a long sequence of digits associated with every project, something like this 8BC9CEB8-8B4A-11D0-8D11-00A0C91BC942. For the lack of a better word I called it "encoding". After I changed the dependencies between projects in the solution, msvs replaced those numeric sequences by new ones literally for every project in the solution file. The diff now

[LLVMdev] Is there someone tried LLVM 2.1 on Visual Studio 2005?
By the way, somebody (I think it was Chuck, but I don't remember for certain) was asking for the BuildLog.htm from building the llvm.sln file under VS 2005 SP1 for diagnostic purposes; right now the SLN is configured to produce a new BuildLog for each and every one of the projects inside the solution. I don't know who's responsible for this guy, but that's probably not the best way

unsigned long long suffix
share/compat.h contains the following code: /* adjust for compilers that can't understand using LLU suffix for uint64_t literals */ #ifdef _MSC_VER #define FLAC__U64L(x) x #else #define FLAC__U64L(x) x##LLU #endif I tested MSVS 2005 and indeed it doesn't support LLU suffix, but it can compile a code with ULL suffix. Also, http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc/Long-Long.html mentions ?ULL?

PATCH for MSVC .sln file (repeat)
I cannot see my post with a patch for FLAC.sln (too long?) Here I repeat this message, with patch file compressed to .zip: --------------------------------------------------------------- Every time I open current FLAC.sln in MSVS 2005, it rewrites (fixes) this file. The diff between new and old files is attached. Current version has several problems: a) it has one extra EndProject line. b) it

creating opus encoder and decoder executable on Windows
Hi all: How do I create opus encoder and decoder executable on Windows using MS Visual Studio 2010? What I'm doing is the following: 1. I downloaded the codebase on my local drive using: $ git clone git://git.opus-codec.org/opus.git 2. Then I go to D:\opus\win32\VS2010 and open the opus.sln using MS Visual Studio 2010. 3. Then I build the solution opus. I get 3 executable at
