My vision of how the players should work is this:
- make one album.flac with CUESHEET
- player loads album.flac, sees CUESHEET, calculates CDDB id

--cuesheet include the full cue sheet or just the seekponints?
Dear list
Sorry to ask a user's question on developer list. I didn't find the user
list.
I am experimenting with --cuesheet and encoded a flac file with a
cuesheet. Result is:
* Totem on opensuse 10.2 opens the flac file with no meta data, no
play list. "Next" button doesn't work;
* Mplayer on opensuse 10.2 opens the flac file with no meta data,

cuesheets w/ PERFORMER & TITLE track info
Hi there,
is there any specific reason for ignoring TITLE and PERFORMER info when
importing CD-TEXT cuesheets into flac files? (These two fields have not
always been used but they have become widely supported by now). One may
answer that the preferred method for getting this kind of info for a
cuesheet-flac would be CDDB, but CDDB info is not always reliable.
In my opinion the goal "Now a CD

newbie questions re flac on win32 eac and id3v2
Firstly, a big thank-you to Josh for FLAC. Someone mentioned it in a post on
Slashdot, so I came over to sourceforge for a look-see. This is just the
sort of thing I've been looking for.
Can anyone relate any general tips for using flac on Windows for the purpose
of archiving cd's? If I can nail down a solid, easy-to-use process, I'm
happy to write it up and contribute it to the

Fix cuesheet.c to allow metaflac_test.sh to run to completion
Josh,
Sure. I can try. Would you give me a more detailed description of the requirement ?
What exactly does "general MM:SS handling" mean ?

metaflac crashes adding cuesheet
Erik,
The command used by abcde is
metaflac --no-utf8-convert
--import-cuesheet-from=/home/me/Audio/abcde.50107806/cue-50107806.txt
--import-tags-from=- /home/me/Audio/abcde.50107806/track1.flac
but I get the same result re-trying without the --no-utf8-convert
and -no-utf8-convert.
Here's the cuesheet:

Fix cuesheet.c to allow metaflac_test.sh to run to completion
Josh,
I see my name is mentioned in passing ;-)
I submitted that patch because I thought it preferable to keep the test harness running.
Backing this change out would also entail changing metaflac_test.sh accordingly, which at the time, I was hesitant to do.
At the time I figured that at some point metaflac_test.sh was passing, so the code should probably allow it to pass.
I'm ok either

winamp plug-in enhancement/bugfix
josh,
thanks for the feedback. now i can start encoding like mad knowing that the
generated flac files are ok =)
(flac -t said the files were ok, despite metaflac's complaints).
i noticed that without the flac-for-winamp plug-in installed, winamp
correctly displays the id3 filename (e.g. "Bjork - Human Behavior") in the
playlist and also displays the id3 tags in the file

metaflac crashes adding cuesheet
(Apologies if I'm in the wrong place for this...)
I'm trying to use the abcde program to archive CDs to flac files.
(Each CD to 1 file, and ultimately multi-disk performances to 1
file.) It extracts the audio to a .flac file and creates a cue
sheet with track names & locations. However, when it tries to
run metaflac with the --import-cuesheet-from option, it core
dumps.

metaflac crashes adding cuesheet
Erik,
I don't know what abcde would be providing as tags, or why on Earth it
would be importing that from stdin. Unfortunately, abcde is a bash
script, and so not exactly easy for me to read. I haven't gotten any
response from posting on their mailing list.
I do get the same crash when running metaflac without the
--import-tags-from,
so I'm not sure this is the problem. Unless

2 questions on flac files with internal cue sheet.
Hi,
I made backup-copies of several CDs.
First I used eac (exactaudiocopy) for exact ripping to a single wav-file with
cue sheet.
Then I used
flac --cuesheet=<cuefile> <wavfile>
to get a flac file with internal cue sheet.
I am on a linux system. eac is running in a vmware-windows (actually, eac is
the only reason that I have a windows version running).
At this point I have two

[PATCH] Repair cuesheet tests
Hi,
Running make fullcheck was broken here, and I found out it has
been that way since commit 1d3d50 which changed from the sheel
from /bin/sh to /bin/bash -e. There are a few cuesheet tests
that are designed to fail, which made /bin/bash -e trigger a
non-zero exit status.
Attached is a patch to fix this.

Query on image link file mode?
Hiya,
will it be possible to add single song playback support like Monkey's Audio
Image Link File to FLAC+CUE? This will allow the playing of single songs
from 1 large FLAC file.
Since FLAC can already embed the cuesheet inside the FLAC itself, the next
step will be to allow the playback of the songs individually, allowing them
to be added to playlists when playing singles. Please make

Some questions
Hi.
I these questions are copied from a forum and perhaps you can help me to
answer them.
I) For some codecs (I think MP3 for example) there was that issue that
you have different sample/frame/whatever lenghts than in raw/wav
encoding, thus if you encode a file to mp3 the lenght is not exact and
some digital silence is added.
Is the same thing the case with flac (thus the original file would be
