We have the following situation, we are running Samba for a lot of small companies that need fileservices for there Windows Terminal Servers that they use through a thin client on a Fiber / Lan extention to our datacentre. We have this samba running on 2 linux hosts (Fedora Core 5 and Fedora 7) with a ldap backend for all the domains. This works

Some random thoughts
Dear all, I hope you will forgive me for posting without lurking, and indeed, without even being subscribed to the list. : plot different axis, same plot position
Dear R-users, I am trying to make a plot in R where x and y are plotted in a regular way, but the x axis corresponds to another set of values. For example I have x,y and T (all 29 values) x<- c( -1.31846232, -1.04744756, -0.87034853, -0.72883370, -0.60618971, -0.49501845, -0.39128988, -0.29250120, -0.19694055, -0.10334039, -0.01069355, 0.08185470, 0.17507665, 0.26971270, 0.36651292,

Boxplot 5% and 95% quantile instead of 25% and 75%
Hi, I'm new to the whole R-thing as a replacement for Matlab, not disappointed sofar ;) I found out how to make nice looking boxplots, but i also would like the make a boxplot with 5% and 95% instead of the standard 25 and 75% quantiles. My csv input looks something like: LOCATION FILTER NR DATE VALUE MONTH Peelhorst01 1 14-Jan-94 23.07 1 Peelhorst01 1 28-Jan-94 23.68 1 Peelhorst01 1

10th anniversary of tinc 1.0
Hello everyone, Today is exactly 10 years ago that tinc 1.0 was released. I would have hoped to celebrate this by releasing 1.0.22 and 1.1pre8 today, but this will instead happen in one week. Tinc 1.1 is close to becoming stable, and I hope to release 1.1.0 before the end of the year. The main features of tinc 1.1 are the improved security over tinc 1.0, and a much nicer interface that makes it

Hello, since some time I've created a construction which: - automatically detects all the smb hosts and their shares (with nbtscan and smbclient) - creates a directory in the homemap of the users logged in which represents the "windows networkneighbourhoud". - when entering a share, it is automatically mounted (with autofs and cifs and or smbfs) It works very good, and now
