Windows client not honorring the Port directive?
Hi all,
I have trouble making a tinc daemon on a Windows XP machine behave properly.
In order to let the connection go through the (NAT) firewall I need to
be able to pinpoint the exact portnumber used, so I can make the
proper rewriting rules.
However when I don't specify any Port number the firewall receives
connection attempt for the other tinc machine on the internet from a

Multiple SAMBA servers
Hello,
I'm about to install SAMBA in a HA (High Avalibility) solution with Solaris
2.6 and First Watch.
I have two SAMBA servers that normally runs on two machines, in case of a
failure of one of the machine the other machine is supposed to take over
the failed machine's services. Also the IP adress is moved (the machine
will now have multiple IP adresses (on the same logical net)).

Supervised transfer problem with BudgetTone
Hi all,
I'm quite new on this mailing list, and I discover the asterisk world.
I m experimenting a PBX with SIP phones, grandstream budgetone (not

Refresing browselists and some Packet logging
Hello,
I am running Samba 1.9.18p10 using Linux 2.0.36 and Samba is configured as
a WINS server.
It's working fine but there are some questions remaining:
the first one is:
- when somebody who was connected to the network turns of his computer he
will still stay in the browselist for about 30 minutes. I was wondering if
there is a way to shorten this time. The wins.dat file is not containing

Asterisk WITH Swyx... Any Idea?
Hi,
I'm a student and my thesis work consist in testing
Asterisk with Swyx(SwyxWare).
My approach is to declare asterisk as h323 gateway for
the Swyxserver using oh323 Plugin.
Is there any possibility to connect Asterisk with
Swyx? how?
the outgoing call must pass from Swyxit->to
Swyxserver-> Asterisk->to PTSN
Thanks

hello,
a friend of mine have this configuration:

let''s say that the bandwidth is: 5M and 800K
he does dc++ and counter-strike, so let''s say the UP is full, and the
ping from the counter server is 300ms, the server cut the connection, and
no more game, the player is unhappy. The normal ping is 50ms.
so he thinks to put some
