I understand why Raspbian uses dhcpcd, it makes it easier for them, but
I see no good reason to use it on something that should have a fixed

running on the Pi with Raspbian Buster.

Debian Buster/Raspbian Buster Samba 4.11.4 now available on my repo.

Finaly the Debian and Raspbian Buster packages are online. ;-)
If one want to rebuild these for an other Debian or Ubuntu version.

Buster samba 4.11.1 availabe for testing.

My plan was to release the all of the coming builds of 4.11.1 today..
But... There are still processes building..
So whats new, what is there and what is not there.
The 4.11.1 is based on the Debian Testing 4.11.0.
My changes.

No, do you have a line in /etc/Network-Manager/Network-Manager.conf
with 'dnsmasq' in it ?

thanks for reply.
Having the information that this is no situation considered yet is already
helpfull - telling me that I have not missed / missconfigured something. :)
I think the better solution for me is to not even create the unwanted
entries.
Filtering for "automatic" dhcp created hostnames (matching '^dhcp-.*$') to
not be added into DNS should to the trick for me

Hi Rowland, I resolve the problem partially.
The problem was due to the fact that I do not have winbind installed because Samba 4, Bind9 and isc-dhcp-server are on the same server.
I commented on these lines in the script dhcp-dyndns.sh and it worked (on commit and on release but not on expiry )

The Linux-Client should be a member of the Active Directory-domain?
