Failing replication
Hello, we could need some help resolving a replication issue we experience since one week. We have 1 DC in the cloud running Windows Server 2019 with DFL/FFL 2008R2. We have 3 sites with 5 DCs running Samba on Debian Buster in total replicating the AD from Windows. Since one week the replication state shows the following error: DC=ds,DC=craze,DC=toys Azure\VMDC-AZURE-01 via RPC DSA

[PATCH] Re: Failing replication
Hi Andrew, I applied your patch to the Debian packages of Louis. Do you happen to know in which package it will end up? Tried samba and samba-dsdb-modules but the error remains the same. Any update on this one? Is there anything I can do from my side? I?m prepared to nuke my Samba DC?s and start afresh if necessary. Samba domain join issues

Thanks. At this stage is looks like a bug in the repl_meta_data module. Try the attached patch. Can I name you in the bug and is there any affiliation (eg employer) you would like named? I've filed a bug and will file a merge request once I have a test to confirm this. https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14272 Thanks! Gathering information about RAM in sockets
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi list, I have an IBM xseries 345, running CentOS 5.3, hosting a few Xen domUs. However, I need more RAM -- but cannot remember if all (four) RAM sockets are populated (which would mean to buy higher capacity modules) or if there are two slots left to use. new install of Xen 4.6 hangs on Loading initial ramdisk
?Not sure if this actually made it to the list the first time.? Here is the SERIAL output (bottom of message after your questions).? Googling the error indicates it's something people ran into a few years back but was supposedly fixed.? Any ideas? I can verify that if I REMOVE the second CPU, it boots into Xen kernel no problem.? The CPU itself doesn't matter, as I can swap either

can I use CentOS as a antivirus / spam filter / HTTP AV gateway?
Hi all I've been thinking about using CentOS on a Dell R200 server and turn it into a firewall / network monitor / traffic shaper in our datacentre, instead of using a dedicated firewall device. One of the devices that I have been looking at, with my limited budget, is the D-Link DFL 860 - http://www.netdefend.eu/Product.aspx?m=15&ref=DFL-860 It provides AV, SPI, VPN, DOS, P2P, etc
