NAS with Samba and Multi-TT USB Hubs
Dear Sir or Madam, I've a very specific question about samba... My setup: I've a Raspberry 3B with Raspbian and a multi-TT USB hub attached to it. A few full-speed (1MB/s) mass-storage devices are going to be connected to this hub. On every device is just one big file (f.e. 50MB .txt file). Multi-TT just helps reading more full-speed devices on a single hub simultaneously. This works

Lowest AIC after stepAIC can be lowered by manual reduction of variables (Florian Moser)
A few general comments about stepwiseAIC and a suggestion of how to select models a) Apart form the problem, that stepwise selection is not a garanty to get the best model, you need to have a lot of data to avoid overfitting if your model includes 7 parameter plus interactions (> 10 observations per parameter is what you are ideally looking for). b) Have a look at Anderson and Burnham's

AW: Machines not disappearing from browse list
I've exactly the same problem. My config looks similar to yours: 1 samba as wins server (wins support=yes" on one segment, 1 samba as "wins server client" (wins server = xxx). The "wins server client" never discards machines from segment 1. I looked at the browse.dat and the wins.dat on the server on segment 1. There are no entries of the shutdowned maschines. Only in

tlsv1 alert unknown ca: SSL alert number 48
Hi, I have set up a mail server with postfix+dovecot 2.2.13 on my raspberry pi running Raspbian Jassie OS. Now I would like to add an on-line e-mail client like Squirrelmail or Roundcube. I was able to start up these two clients but when I try to login I get this error message in the dovecot log: tlsv1 alert unknown ca: SSL alert number 48 But I have inserted the self-signed certificate and

APC Back-UPS BX1400U
Dear list, since some days I own an APC Back-UPS BX1400U. Now I try to connect my Raspberry Pi to it using NUT, but ... ;) The UPS is connected via an USB-cable, and "lsusb" shows an APC device. NUT is installed via "sudo apt-get install nut". My goal: a Synology DiskStation DS1515+ should "read" UPS-data provided from the Raspberry an shut-down itselt at 30%

tlsv1 alert unknown ca: SSL alert number 48
I think that you are right when you say that the problem may be the certificate recognition. As for Roundcube, I've inserted the uncommented php code that you provided in /usr/share/roundcube/main.inc.php.dist, which is the Raspbian file for /config/defaults.inc.php. Unfortunately Roundcube doesn't login and replies with the message "connection to storage server failed". And

NUT USB Delayed Communication
Hello, On one hand, sorry to hear that higher polling frequency in upsmon did not help. On another, question is if the driver gets the info (online state and its changes) from device quickly enough. Initially I meant for you to also try if the "pollonly" flag (in each device section of ups.conf for usbhid-ups instances) would make a difference?.. I'd expect data-transfer interrupts

I have tried all the suggestions up till now but the error message is still there. I have tried this configuaration for roundcube: $config['imap_conn_options'] = array( 'ssl' => array( 'peer_name' => '<FQDN_OF_DOVECOT_CERTIFICATE>', 'verify_peer' => true, 'verify_depth' => 3, // 'cafile' =>

NUT USB Delayed Communication
Hello, Yes, "pollonly" is a driver option for certain devices (and relevant to just some drivers). Disconnects are probably relevant, at least to loss of connection (and staying that way, with less agressive retries in NUT v2.7.4 and before). There is a logged issue that "pollonly" mode might have trouble detecting a disconnection/staleness, I'm not sure there's merit

Re: Nelly Moser Asao Codec
Has anyone ever successfully re-implemented a proprietary codec without reverse engineering or decompiling? Or even with reverse engineering? I imagine even if you had the exact code, getting the codebooks without decompiling would be pretty tough. tinc on a raspberry pi - version 1.0.19 will not work
Hello Guus, thank you for your fast reply. Indeed the upgrade to a newer Raspbian image did solve my problem with tinc, I was not aware that there was a new Jessie based version. The current Jessie based Raspbian has tinc 1.0.24 version included, which runs fine, so I did not run tinc with debug messages enabled, since the issue that had caused my tinc crashes in 1.0.19 had probably been fixed.

Tripplite SMART2200VS with tripplite_usb: UPS doesn't shut down
Hello, I have a Tripplite SMART2200VS that isn't being shut down when the nut master asks it to. My initial test was simply upsmon -c fsd which caused the system to shut down, but the UPS remained on and providing power to its loads. Looking in the logs (daemon and syslog) it was not clear to me that NUT was telling the UPS to shut down (I was expecting to see "Shutting down the UPS

I'm confused. Do you want llvm-gcc3 or llvm-gcc4? The tarball above is a binary for llvm-gcc4 for Mac x86. You

Failed building any Samba version starting with v4.10.0
Hi team. I've used to be able to successfully build Samba from source starting from version 4.2.3 on Raspbian.I've built and created packages from all minor & major releases until v4.10.0 was released. After that particular version, the "configure" step of the build process gets stuck all the time and never continues. The platform I'm using for build now is the following:?
