If you plan is to upgrade to buster. 1) on stretch, update samba to 4.10 2) Change apt sources do buster, * your now also able to add buster-samba411 of my repo. 3) apt-get dist upgrade --autoremove --purge And you able to upgrade to buster and samba 4.11. I am currently upgrading several Debian servers from stretch (9.x) to buster (10.x). At that site we run 2 DCs (so far samba-4.10.x) and 2 DMs (one 4.10.x, one 4.11.x since yesterday) I assume it's not wrong or problematic to mix releases and have DMs on 4.11 and DCs on 4.10 ? Hi, I have a running samba 4.7.6+dfsg~ubuntu-0ubuntu2.15 on a ubuntu 18.04 server and would like to upgrade to van Belle latest repo. My plan is plain simple: 1. Deploy a new ubuntu 18.04 server 2. hai, ? To explain this a bit more. All my repo's are set per os and samba version. So as long you dont change the sambaXXX version, you stay on that version and minimze risk with changes in samba. Its always :? http://apt.van-belle.nl/debian? And all you change is :??? buster-samba412? Current available versions are : stretch-samba410 stretch-samba411 buster-samba411 buster-samba412

Current (recently sended?list) OS-sambaXXXX with EOL wont be supported anymore, upgrade your OS and/or Samba versions! EOL repo's will stay online for about 6 months, that gives sufficient time to upgrade.
