[Samba] Debian Buster Samba 4.13 online (amd64/i386/armhf )
Hai, ? Debian Buster Samba 4.13 is now online on my repo. Info : https://apt.van-belle.nl/ With the release of 4.13 the following changes are going to happen in the repo's. Current (recently sended?list) OS-sambaXXXX with EOL wont be supported anymore, upgrade your OS and/or Samba versions! EOL repo's will stay online for about 6 months, that gives sufficient time to upgrade. Aafter 6 months i'm cleanin up and the EOL repo will be removed. If you have special needs for a specific version, DM me, and i can give a simple setup to put them on a own repo. stretch-samba410???EOL stretch-samba411???Only security updates buster-samba411??? Only security updates buster-samba412??? Maintainance only. buster-samba413??? New Stable. bionic-samba410??? EOL bionic-samba411??? Only security updates focal-samba412???Maintainance only. focal-samba413 Not online yet. most probely about 1 week after the buster 4.13 raspbian-buster-samba411 ???Only security updates You need the buster-samba412 or buster-samba413 repo's. Have fun with these. Just my tip, test 4.13 good before you use it in production. ( as with every new big release) None?of the? xx.yy.0 versions are used in production environment. This what i follow. a .0 will go on a test server in production environment. a .1 will go?on auth only servers. a .2 will go?on auth and file share servers. a .3 will go on AD-DC's Have fun with these. Not that i know off, but if your on buster, your not using /etc/init.d/samba-ad-dc??and that?should have been purged while upgrading long ago already.? I recommend you check the installed packages on leftovers, and if you find them, use : apt-get remove --purge xxPackagexx You should use systemd and it services: # /lib/systemd/system/samba-ad-dc.service [Unit] Description=Samba AD Daemon Documentation=man:samba(8) man:samba(7) man:smb.conf(5) Wants=network-online.target After=network.target network-online.target ? [Service] Type=notify NotifyAccess=all PIDFile=/run/samba/samba.pid LimitNOFILE=16384 EnvironmentFile=-/etc/default/samba ExecStart=/usr/sbin/samba --foreground --no-process-group $SAMBAOPTIONS ExecReload=/bin/kill -HUP $MAINPID ? [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target ? # /etc/systemd/system/samba-ad-dc.service.d/override.conf [Unit] After=network.target network-online.target bind9.service Greetz, ? Louis ? In the update I was doing, the change was requested, but I ended up leaving the one that was already installed, but now the samba doesn't start.
