For more information: the package /libtracker/-/sparql is in ubuntu bionic 2.0, but in the van-belle repo expects 1.0./ /Regards,/ /Oliver/ / / On 09.11.18 23:06, Oliver Rath via samba wrote: > Hi list, > > too much compiling on this machine .. install path was broken. > > Tfh! > > Oliver > > > On 09.11.18 22:38, Oliver Rath via samba wrote: >> Hi list,

Samba PDC & ldapi://
I've seen several references on the web to setting up the LDAP SAM to communicate with the LDAP server via ldapi (IPC) verses ldap (IP). This should theoretically much faster. My LDAP master is on the same host as the Samba PDC. With nss_ldap using "uri ldap://localhost" and Samba using "ldapsam:ldap://localhost/" everything works. But changing nss_ldap to use

ldapi support
Hi, Quick question: Does Dovecot support ldapi (i.e. via Unix Sockets) connections for LDAP lookups (user, password, auth etc.) or only ldap/ldaps (over TCP)? If yes, how do we specify ldapi://localhost in Dovecot configuration files? Thanks, Nick

Is possible to use samba4 and openldap without ldapi?
I want to use samba4 in a openldap multimaster enviroment, but my tests are going bad, this are the problems: - Provision is broken for openldap: NotImplementedError: <bound method OpenLDAPBackend.post_setup of <samba.provisionbackend.OpenLDAPBackend object at 0xb626194c> - When i try to run samba i get errors like this: samba -i -M single samba version 4.0.0alpha12-GIT-c75106f

GPO issues - getting SYSVOL cleaned up again
new thread, old issue been fiddling off-list with tips from Louis over the last days, and putting it back to the list to ask for help from others: 2 samba-4.9.11 DCs 1 samba-4.8.12 DM file server GPOs not working cleanly anymore tried to resync completely etc etc - right now I test gpupdate/gpresult on an older (not productive) W2008R2 server which I use for editing stuff via RSAT/MMC I

ISO Suggestions for Multiple Inbound Voicepulse Lines
I'm looking to set up multiple inbound Voicepulse Connect lines and have Asterisk route them direct to different IVR or Voicemail based on the inbound number that is called. Unfortunately, I just can't see how one would go about identifying the number that is being called. Has anyone been able to do something like this with Voicepulse? I appreciate any assistance. Phil

xorriso or genisoimage syntax assistance
I got this figured out much faster than I thought I would. Thanks to all of your help, Peter, Mattias, Thomas and Helmut. And Thomas, that 8 partition live OS sounds right up my alley, and I will definitely check it out. The second partition is working well with `parted' and `fdisk', so I am quite pleased. Below is, again, "what I came up with". I tried to integrate each of your

Whine in dual core Windows PC if R uses full CPU capacity
Dear R-developers, the following may seem a weird question for R-devel – I try anyway, because it does seem to be related to usage of R and R's way of interacting with the hardware. When running R (2.4.0) on my new dual core Windows XP system (Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, Mainboard ASUS P5B, BeQuiet Power Unit), I observe various types of sounds (not related to fans) when running at full

DNS question
Dear list, we use debian stretch with Louis's 4.10.5 packages and bind9_dlz backend. There are two AD DCs with redundant ISC DHCP servers on them. The DHCP servers are updating the DNS along the lines of https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Configure_DHCP_to_update_DNS_records_with_BIND9 but with nsupdate commands replaced by suitable calls to "samba-tool" (I had problems getting the

I've summerized a bit.. And i saw Rowland also answered already. Below is anonimized, but it shows, 2 completely different server setups. I really suggest you setup your AD-DC's the same. To summ up. DC1 Samba is running as an AD DC but 'winbindd' is NOT running. You running SSSD on the AD-DC, which is not supported. Your using a really out-dated OS.. The hosts is not

Windows 10 does not register dns in samba 4.3.4
Are your running more domains on this samba server, this is the primary domain? tplk.loc ? The settings below looks good, you can try setting ipv4 preffered over ipv6 ( or disable ipv6) You can try also it with a fixed primary dns suffix. https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc786695(v=ws.10).aspx 1.Open the Network Connections folder and view available connections. 2.Right-click the
