gpo failure
Hi Marc, Ok, I apologise, I was unsure if the number {31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9} was something sensitive password-like or not, so i changed it slightly.... Sorry..! The number is actually the number as you quote it below for the Default Domain Policy. > The two GUID directories, that exist on every AD DC, are > > {6AC1786C-016F-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9} = Default Domain

Samba 4.2.14 Group Policy (GPO) sync error
Hi Louis, Many many thanks for your very quick and comprehensive reply. I also found this thread here <https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2016-July/201471.html> Unfortunately none of the suggestions seem to entirely resolve the issue. As a first work-around I have inserted ldap server require strong auth = no to my smb.conf and re-started Samba. Unfortunately this didn't

Hi, Search on the net but not getting enough information to resolve the issue. As per suggestion to check the sysvol but mine got issues. Currently using CentOS 8.1.1911 and a compiled samba 4.11.4 based on Fedora 31. I tried also to delete the broken GPO policy E4108E65-68AB-4E2D-9A00-A9063B1558E3 but I can't delete it (using samba-tool gpo del {31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}

Failure permission in Sysvol and GPO
Dear, I'm having trouble handling GPO's my DC. Environment: Samba 4.4.5, primary and secondary DC. I am not allowed to edit the GPO's. The problem occurred after I edit the Default GPO in the primary DC, and then run the rsync to synchronize between the DC's. The following errors arise when squeegee commands: Note: I hid the actual domain name. # samba-tool gpo aclcheck

samba-tool ntacl sysvolcheck and sysvolreset
On my small, one DC AD setup, where I just followed the wiki and did not (!) make any other changes except for working on the AD through the RSAT, I ran samba-tool ntacl sysvolcheck and got the following output: --------------------snip-------------------- ERROR(<class 'samba.provision.ProvisioningError'>): uncaught exception - ProvisioningError: DB ACL on GPO directory

Samba 4.2.14 GPO issue
Hi, That's look more like a gpupdate output than an event log entry :-) Le 24/07/2016 à 20:46, Min Wai Chan a écrit : > Hello Sébastien Le Ray, > > The PC reply the following... > > The processing of Group Policy failed. ACL on GPO directory does not match expected value from GPO object. AGAIN.
Hi all, Some (then all) of our workstations were complaining about incorrect ACLs on GPOs and were unable to read the gpt.ini to apply the GPOs. So I did a sysvolcheck and sure enough I'd lost the ACLs when I moved our sysvol share to a new location on the server (whoops, mea culpa). I ran a sysvolreset which took a long time to return (some 5 minutes, please see my post on slow winbind

incorrect gpo acl after sysvolreset (rc6)
I'm running rc6, but it's not a clean installation, it's samba3 upgraded to 4.0 in ages of beta2. samba-tool ntacl sysvolcheck dies with message about incorrect acl on gpo, but that acl is set by sysvolreset. lobus at sirius-a:~$ sudo samba-tool ntacl sysvolcheck ERROR(<class 'samba.provision.ProvisioningError'>): uncaught exception - ProvisioningError: DB ACL on GPO

Samba4 policies acl corruption
Hi everybody. One month ago me migrated from samba 3.6 classic domain to samba4. After solving some minor problems, we have found ourselves with a ACL corruption and we don't know how to deal with this. When accesing to our sysvol shared (for example, \\domain.local\sysvol) from both Samba or Windows clients, we are refused to connect. Domain=[VECTORSF] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 4.1.4]

GPO problems on a 4.1.6 AD, classicupgraded, uncaught exception
Hi all, We'er running a classicupgraded samba4 AD 4.1.6 sernet for a month or two now, and all is very well. :-) It has been classicupgraded using the same 4.1.6. Today I wanted to try GPO's and they are not applied. GPUpdate /force tells me: "Windows attempted to read the file blahblah\gpt.ini from a domain controller and was not successful". Taken from the mailinglist, I
