Resend of returned email: [3.6.6] Possible to allow password-free read/write access?
Why is someone not setting up an email server conform RFC's and seems to be you have an ipv6.. so set the ptr record. Hai Linda, I do have ipv4 and ipv6 on my server, and im never blocked.. but i did setup conform all rfcs.. i block servers in the same way. so yes, i did set my reverse for ipv4 and ipv6.. what most people do wrong.. 1) the hostname must have A and RR (PTR) and MX

Network inoperable with QEMU arm example image
I am running Fedora 16 64bit and installed libvirt. I have the VM running with arm emulation with this one issue I can't figure out. I used Virtual Machine Manager to manage the VM and can access its console there. The Ethernet appears to be eth1 and the guest can set an IP on it etc. However, I cannot see any traffic from the Host when dumping any of the interfaces. I've tried

Create VM w/ cache=none on tmpfs
Hi, I've seen that in the past, libvirt couldn't start VMs when the disk image was stored on a file system that doesn't support direct I/O having the 'cache=none' configuration [0]. On the KubeVirt project, we have some storage tests on a particular provider which does just that - try to create / start a VM whose disk is on tmpfs and whose definition features

virt-resize for shrinking
[Continuing a discussion from IRC so we have a permanent record] We want to shrink a disk image using virt-resize. Shrinking is harder and not really documented. It requires some manual calculations too. Here is the original: $ virt-df -a 209e6911-fe48-4321-900f-928b3400df88 Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use%

BUG: Standard Time v. DST calculated wrong by Samba Server
FYI, the same bug apears if one mounts the file system using "cifs": -rwxr----- 1 user 2532415 2000-04-02 00:34:50.000000000 -0800 fo1.mp3* -rwxr----- 1 user 3876671 2000-03-12 21:33:20.000000000 -0800 fo2.mp3* Linda W wrote: > Summary: > There appears to be a bug in the "time range" Samba is using on > dates where time is scheduled to "Spring Forward"

Use Samba with ACL for read Active Directory and set Permissions via it.
I never used four different Workgroup or Domain. My domain is "jasondomain" and as you see my last "smb.conf" it is. I change "MYGROUP" to "jasondomain" but problem not solved. macvtap and tagged VLANs to the VM
Hi, I would like to run a network firewall as a VM on a KVM host. There are ~ 25 VLANs delivered to the KVM host on three dedicated links, no LACP or other things. I have the VLANs 100-180 on the host's enp1s0, the VLANs 200-280 on the host's enp2s0 and the VLANs 300-380 on the host's enp3s0. To save myself from configuring all VLANs on the KVM host, I'd like to hand the entire

difference between '%u' and '%U'?
I realized in looking at my smb.conf, I'm not using these in a consistent manner, and .... well I just don't understand what the differences are between them. Sure I can read the smb.conf page: %U session username (the username that the client wanted, not necessarily the same as the one they got). vs. %u username of the current service, if any. ---

netmask 255.255.255.255 vs ip route add via ... (bug?)
Greetings routing folks, I want to use the netmask 255.255.255.255 to insulate (not quite isolate) machines on a shared subnet from each other. This works just fine on win XP, but Linux iproute will not acccept the gateway address in one step -- neither on the command line nor via DHCP: Here''s the interface, set up with a netmask of /32: # ip addr ... 2: eth0:
