Running FC6 and Samba 3.0.24-11.fc6. Workstation is XP Pro Initially, after disabling SELinux and turning off Iptables, I could access the shares that were set up. Came in this morning ready to start copying files and can't get in. Prompts me for a username and password which is rejected. Centos 7 Samba 4.1.1 Trying to get Samba configured correctly. Am using Active Directory for authentication and that seems to be working correctly. hi all, as i heard, i need winbind to connect linux-clients on samba. i installed this - without pam (in the hope this would work...) but this constellation seems to be needed, as i still cannot connect, even if winbind logs my domain as accepted. We here at HGSI have a consultant doing some statistical work for us. HGSI bought and installed SAS, but our consultant insists that R and Rweb is a better solution. I do not know either package so I do not know, hence we are ditching SAS for R and Rweb. Any comments on this are welcom. Now for the real problem. Rweb is very expensive (time wise). To much of my dissapointment, the uptime on my TxD account does not improve. What alternatives do we have for hosting Rails projects on shared accounts?
