I have the same type of machine, same OS, and same compilers and don't
have this problem. Strange.
You can find out from config.log what the actual error was that caused
this message. configure runs a combined C/Fortran program and checks that
various numbers are equal, but other errors in linking and running this
program could also cause the same message (this happened under AIX at one
time).
