Bugg: UDPDiscoveryInterval has no effect?
Hi Thanks for the help. I've started to test it. Those every second probes are gone. However, there might still be something fishy with the UDP probes, but I'm uncertain. I can notice these debug messages somewhat too often: Sending type 2 probe reply length 18 to xxx Sending packet from server (MYSELF port 655) to xxx The "server" keeps resending UDP replies to the

Bugg when using Extended Attributes flag -X
Hello, I found that using rsync on OS X can give some problems when it comes to Extended Attributes (-X flag). The server I use has Ubuntu with the filesystem XFS and I am trying to backup a OS X system to it. The problem is as far as I understand it that Linux Kernel has a liming on 64k f?r Extended Attributes and OS X don?t have this limit. Some error output. rsync: rsync_xal_set:

MAX PRINT JOBS bugg
My smb.conf file contains in the general section. max print jobs = 50 And i disabled the print queue using this command : disable PrintQueueName Therefore i would expect SAMBA to reject print jobs after the 50th. But in real life it does not, it continues to spool indefinitely. If i run a batch file from a client workstation to print continuously. It means the request to print is made

1.1~pre17 is no longer available for OSX from Homebrew.
Hey Folks, It seems that Homebrew for some reason arbitrarily decided to banish all of the --devel flavors from all of their installable packages.  I couldn't find any discussion as to why or what they intend to replace the function with. **update;  this is where they decided to do this; https://github.com/Homebrew/brew/pull/5060#issuecomment-428149176 But in the meantime, 1.1pre17 is

Windows XP and 1.1pre17
Hello, 1.1pre17 does not support Windows XP.  The reason is that InitOnceExecuteOnce is not supported. I believe it is better to take the Windows XP name out of the download link. -rsd -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... error while decrypting metadata
One of my hosts just rebooted for the first time in ages, and now it won't connect to any other nodes. The log just contains continual "error while decrypting metadata" errors. tincd[8324]: Error while decrypting: error:060A7094:digital envelope routines:EVP_EncryptUpdate:invalid operation tincd[8324]: Error while decrypting metadata from fairfield_gw (yy.yy.yy.yy port 655)

Rooting FreeBSD , Privilege Escalation using Jails (Pétur)
I read this (http://www.petur.eu/blog/?p=459) blog post today. It's about that a remote user with root privilegs to a FreeBSD jail & user privileges to the jails host machine can obtain root privileges on the host machine. Can someone confirm if this bugg/exploit works?

tinc 1.1pre17 not working on Windows XP due to KERNEL32.DLL (InitOnceExecuteOnce)
Good afternoon. I've tried making use of tinc inside of a Windows XP box, mostly to test whether it is at all possible to use a JScript/VBScript file (Windows Scripting Host). However, upon executing tinc.exe (this also happens with tincd.exe), an error pops up, telling about a method that is not available in KERNEL32.DLL. Apparently, this method, InitOnceExecuteOnce, is only available from
