Agreed?
Is Mailmate an option for you?

Never heard of it, will have to look into it. I'd be willing to
change the iPhone mail reader for sure, the Apple one kinda sucks
overall, especially for sorting and such. IMHO.

Yes, that's the thread. It looks like it's an Apple Mail client
bug/feature/screwup. I hate it, since it messes up my main text based
mail reader doing IMAP.
Maybe I need to move to Mutt finally. Ugh...

Dovecot serving incorrect certificate
Hello all,
I have a Dovecot (v2.3.10.1) + Postfix (v3.5.3) both cfg; d to use TLS however each using different certificates. In addition, I have cfg?d a DNS CNAME that points to the server A record. For example,
mail.example.com (A) ?> 1.2.3.4
alias.example.con (CNAME) ?> mail.example.com
When setting up a new account in Apple Mail, if I specify the server name as the ?Host Name? (i.e.

Migration from one server to 2 new servers
I seem to recall a post a while back where, due to the age of the remote end, the remote side command had to be entered in the command executed on the local side.
Do you have dsync on the 2.0.9 machine?

Migration from one server to 2 new servers
Hi!
Kishore, you got the command wrong..
`doveadm backup -R -u username-goes-here imapc:`
for this to work, you need to configure following things:
imapc_host = old-host-name
imapc_password = master-password
imapc_master_user = master-user-name
and on the old host you need
passdb {
args = /etc/dovecot/passwd.masterusers
driver = passwd-file
master = yes
pass = yes
}
This should

Well that option set still doesn?t look correct?
Here is the doveadm option set from my 2.2.2 server which is several weeks\months before 2.2.36?

Migration from one server to 2 new servers
Fair enough but the command snippet I posted was taken directly from your earlier post dated Mon Jul 27 23:11:06 EEST 2020 and it does say ?production1??I just double-checked as well...
FWIW?the server order in the command you just pasted is the exact reverse from the Jul 27th post I mentioned above?
Here you appear to be exec?ing the command on prod2 and trying to pull from the remote of prod

Not sure if this matters but the prompt when attempting the ?doveadm backup? command shows it to be a ?production" server?

mail_max_userip_connections on a per user basis
Hello,
Can the above setting be applied on a per user account basis?
I thought that maybe something like per account quotas might be a possible method but not sure.
Thanks.

Static users and doveadm
Hello Dovecot users?
I wanted to ask is using a static userdb will cause issues with some of the account and user related doveadm commands? If so, any suggestions on how to use doveadm in such a configuration?
I have pasted both the cmd + error and userdb config below ? Thanks in advance?
sudo doveadm mailbox list -A

Error in namespace config; how to move messages
Hello,
I inadvertently made an error re: the namespace prefix when setting up a few accounts and several messages have been saved in the Sent\Deleted folders under the incorrect namespace.
Can I simply copy these messages to the relevant folder in the proper namespace? Or do I need to export\import these? Some other procedure?
Thanks in advance for any feedback?

Hi Aki & Dovecot team,
Just continuing with the previous discussion "Migration from one server to

Hi,
I have tried the same way as per your suggestion. But it's throwing an

VoicePulse Connect
Asterisk Users,
Has anybody use Voicepulse Connect for Asterisk?
I am trying to cover all my bases because in the past, I got burned with
poor quality of service, along with failed DTMF tones with 3 different SIP
Providers (Vitelity, Broadvoice, and Teliax).
I am running Asterisk 1.2.13 on the Debian Etch system, using the SIP
protocol. Any insights would be great. Thanks.
