The program named CrossPoint I used for this isn't wideley known, but it used so called mpuffer files in a plain text format. It is the program I still use to write for example this mail. I am investigating whether dovecot(https://github.com/dovecot/core/) handles case insensitive Message-ID headers as per RFC. I can't raise a support issue with cPanel team (https://tickets.cpanel.net/review/login.cgi) as that needs an paid account with them. There may be an issue with the CPANEL/WHM DKIM module. I created a client library to send emails for a webapp. After connecting to the SMTP server with credential setup in CPANEL, and then do NOT add Message-Id header, the DKIM signature 'h' record created by dovecot/WHM is wrong, and a Message-ID (with a capital D) header is added, invalidating the generated DKIM signature value.
