Why is the quotation mark removed in the new version?
Is there any configuration option in the new version to add quotes?
Because I see a lot of big public mailboxes with quotation marks.

V2.3.5 -> V3.0.7 problem. Page state of select list not being preserved
This works find on 2.3.5. I have a form with a select list. Selecting
a value (it''s a search type), typing in a text value into a text
field, then submitting the form (which causes a an SQL search and a
redispay of the initial page with the selected records.
2.3.5 preserved the values of the select list across invocations.
3.0.7 resets the selected value of the list to #0.

R 4.0.0 build error with sysdata.rda on ppc64el architecture
The R 4.0.0 package migration on Debian is being held back by a failed build
on ppc64el [1]. We can see from the history of builds logs [2] that it used
to build, briefly failed, worked again and then failed leading to R 4.0.0's
release. (And my bad for missing how the alpha1/alpha2/beta/rc builds failed.)
I have however neither changed anything, nor did I ever have to accomodate

How to use connection pool in Rails2.3.5 with WEBrick and MySQL?
We use Rails 2.3.5, MySQL, and WEBrick.
ActiveRecord call ConnectionPool#checkout and create new connection to
MySQL when receive a first HTTP request.
At this time, register to connection pool its connection in
ConnectionPool#checkout_new_connection.

sshd exponential backoff patch
hi,
I wrote a patch to openssh sshd.c which enables "exponential backoff",
so that an attacker cannot brute force your password by making hundreds
of login attempts.
here is the code:
http://sam.nipl.net/sshd-backoff/
An attacker who fails to login is locked out (by IP address) for 1
minute, and the lockout period doubles for each failed login after that.
Normally three logins are

Plugging in a hard drive after Solaris has booted up?
Hi guys,
I have a quick question, I am playing around with ZFS and here''s what I did.
I created a storage pool with several drives. I unplugged 3 out of 5 drives from the array, currently:
NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
gpool UNAVAIL 0 0 0 insufficient replicas
raidz1 UNAVAIL 0 0 0 insufficient replicas

Time to add exponential backoff for SSH interactive login failures?
I'm accustomed to systems where even the first failed login attempt
incurs a 5 second delay. I don't think that's too harsh, but everyone
has their own needs and considerations. This could be made
configurable.

"must be nil" validation?
Hey guys, is there a validation that essentially acts the opposite way
of "validates_presence_of". That is, the attribute in question must be
nil, or blank, non-existent. If not, what''s the best way to prevent a
user from altering a web form attempting to submit data to a field
that they should never have access to?
Thanks!

llvm-toolchain-3.8 on lower arm targets, specifically Debian armel and Raspbian.
llvm-toolchain-3.8 seems to have problems on debian armel and raspbian.
On raspbian it builds but our armv7 contamination checker blocked it
from entering the repo. Further investigation showed that "compiler-rt"
was being built with -march=armv7 . I was able to remove the -march with
some build-system hacker but then I got a failure on
