Outlook 2016 IMAP trouble
Hello List, I'm facing an issue with dovecot (2.2.27) IMAP? and Outlook as a client. I have some users that use Outlook (2016) as? a client . One of them has a desktop PC in the office and a laptop machine which I've setup some days ago . The user did some work, during the weekend, in his laptop (filling messages into IMAP folders) and to his (and mine) surprise, today in the office

Re: wine Outlook 2007 cannot log on network error
This morning I have opened my MS Outlook and was amazed reason of all my emails were lost. I tried to restore, but I couldn't. Luckily for me I entered in the Internet and noticed a tool - mailbox.pst repair (http://www.recoverytoolbox.com/pst_mailbox_repair.html). It solved my trouble for seconds and free of charge as I bore in mind. Moreover the program showed me how it could process

Samba logs fill up disk with inotify errors, smbd 100% CPU
Please forgive me if direct email is not appropriate, but I am at my wit's end. I am running Kernel 2.6.35.2. Previously, I was running 2.6.32.something (don't know at this point). Samba is 3.4.8-59. I have been getting the inotify errors on both the old and the new Kernel, to the point that it filled my hard drive and made my Windows/XP unrecoverable. It appears to only happen

Outlook 2010 very slow when using IMAP - are there any tweaks?
Hi, though this is a bit of a side question, has anybody had an issue while running Outlook 2010 with Dovecot? The reason why I am asking is that I have setup a Dovecot 2.1.7 server on FreeBSD which works fantastically with Thunderbird but Outlook seems to be twice as slow in transferring information across?? # dovecot -n # 2.1.7: /usr/local/etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS: FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE

Dovecot and Outlook - IMAP Timeout error
Hey guys, I'm having a problem with Dovecot and Outlook. I'm testing with Outlook XP (2002), but the problem occurs with Outlook 2003 as well. I'm using Dovecot 1.0.rc28. The specific error generated (for IMAP) is: "A connection to the server could not be established. <servername> is now in offline mode." In the details: "There may be a server or network

AW: Outlook 2002 and roaming profiles
Hello, This is the way for the normal .pst file where outlook stores ist information about the normal folders. I had moved this pst to my homedrive and it works fine. The problem is my IMAP account. When you create an imap account in outlook it creates another pst file in the normal path. This file is called machinename0000006.pst e.g. If you move this file to another path, outlook wont ask at

I think we need a public compliance test, similar to html and ssl, then people would start questioning the quality of their own client, and migrate to better ones. When Micro$oft will eventually feel the pinch, then they will start fixing their $hit. People have the power! (I like that song.) Microsoft Outlook pst files unable to open or create
All, I sent a message for help a couple of weeks ago about a samba migration issue. With further testing, we have isolated the issue to Microsoft Outlook (versions 2007 and 2010). All other applications have no issues when they mount the new samba server reading, writing, etc. But, in Outlook, when you try to open an archive (pst file) on the new samba server, it pops up an error "the
