Delay in dial
Hi all,
I am using Asterisk CVS, and I am getting a huge delay in dialing SIP.
This Asterisk box is taking calls from a PABX over ZAP, then dialing SIP
users.
So, a user '0251' dials from his phone, the PABX sends it the my
Asterisk box, no delay, then I get a 15 sec delay, before it actually
dials the end SIP user.

Struggle with Postfix/Dovecot-auth and SASL
Hi List,
I just updated an old sendmail installation to a modern postfix/dovecot system with mysql backend. Everything works fine but SMTP-AUTH fails with some clients.
The problem is, that with PLAIN (old) clients send the base64 coded form: USERNAME\0USERNAME\0PASSWORD which, as i understand dovecot interprets as MASTERUSER\0USERNAME\PASSWORD. New clients send \0USERNAME\0PASSWORD which works

RODC-Connection to more than one file
Hallo everyone!
Has anyone an idee to get out data of more than one Excel-file via RODBC
with one single sqlQuery-command? The RODBC-manual shows how the sql command
shoot run, but every time I try, I got an error, that the ODBC-connection to
one of the files was not successful. If I make a sqlQuery for only one file
(e. g. in DatAllg.XLS without variables from DatBev.XLS / b. ...), the

I am confused on the various account creation methods in samba. I am
running Fedora Core 8 and Samba 3.0.26a-6.

I can create a user with pdbedit -a
I can create a user with smbpasswd -a
I can list the users with the pdbedit -L command
Where is the file with the users that the above commands create and
pdbedit -L lists?

I think we're on the same page for the battery date. What about the date of manufacture for the UPS - does 2012 seem reasonable?

I created a share on windows with a windows user marc having access to
the share.
On the Linux machine I created two samba users marc and jim with

On Linux I connect to the share on windows with the windows user marc

I made cddrive a samba share on the Linux box by entering it into the

Wrong battery.date variable value
Kevin,
As Matthijs noted, pfSense uses a circular log file. The default size is ~500KB, which can be a bit small. You can increase the log file size by changing the “Log file size” parameter on the Log management page. Look for the wrench symbol on the system log page (Status / System Logs / System / General). Note that you have to clear the log after changing its size. FWIW, I have mine set to

comparing row by row in matrix
I don't know the Russell-Rao coefficient but maybe this will help:
You can compute the number of times y and x are both 1 (that's what your
function f does) by counting 1s in y*x, i.e., sum(y*x), aka t(y)%*%x.
Ordinary matrix multiplication does this row-by-column, so if M and N are
two binary matrices, M%*%t(N) will have (i,j) entry equal to the count of 1s
in common to row i of M and

WinNUT Client Logs
How do you setup the debug options in WinNUT?
Correct, it sets the POWERDOWNFLAG when it receives an FSD but only if it acts as a NUT MASTER (since the UPS is connected locally to the NUT MASTER and can issue a killpower). This is the default value and I did not care to change it because it won't be use on my Windows machine anyway as it is working as a NUT SLAVE.
Thank you.

Hello
I have to strange problems since we changed from samba 3.0.2a to 3.0.4.
The first one is, everytime I enter SWAT the entry in smb.conf "printcap
name" changes from "/etc/printcap" to "lpstat" even when i switch back
to default in SWAT (wich is /etc/printcap ) i get the entry "lpstat" in
my smb.conf. I have to change the smb.conf by hand, everytime i
