Hi all,
This is to announce the availability of Samba(and CTDB) rpms from
Storage SIG[1] on CentOS 7 and 8. Visit Samba's CentOS wiki page[2] for
more details on installation steps.

Samba rpms now available from CentOS Storage SIG
Hi Anoop,
I can see the centos-release-samba412 rpm in the mirror (
http://mirror.centos.org/centos-8/8/extras/x86_64/os/Packages/) but once I
try to update Samba, it says that no packages are marked for update. There
isn't a samba-412 in the storage repo (
http://mirror.centos.org/centos-8/8/storage/x86_64/) as far as I can see
(in opposition to samba-411).
Am I doing something wrong?

Permissions to contribute to Storage SIG wiki pages
Hi,
we're working on adding more packages to the Storage SIG. For that I
would like to describe the build infrastructure so that other new
contributors can understand what build tags/targets are available and
where to add/build packages.
It seems I need to ask permission to edit wiki pages, could I get edit
rights for these?

editing CentOS Storage SIG wiki
Hi folks,
I would like to contribute to the CentOS Storage SIG wiki pages.
Would you please allow my "ktdreyer" account to edit the following pages?

editing CentOS Storage SIG wiki
Sure, I've renamed it to https://wiki.centos.org/KenDreyer
Would you please consider dropping this policy? It's not very
welcoming to new contributors, and I don't think it'll integrate well
with https://accounts.centos.org/ if the MoinMoin instance can use
that for authentication.

Yup. One patch missed backport which is now being tracked for 4.10.1.
You can just apply the patch from [1] and build it yourself.
