CentOS Linux 7 (1708) AltArch i386 Kernel
Red Hat no longer maintains the i386 kernel for RHEL 7.4.? We have been using a modified kernel until this latest meltdown / spectre? release (*kernel-3.10.0-693.11.6.el7*). This latest release does not build on i386/i686 and we can't figure out how to make it work.? CentOS 7 - AltArch i386 - DVD iso?
Just curious. In the two most recent releases of CentOS 7 AltArch i386 there has not been made available a DVD iso (or the live ones) alongside NetInstall/Minimal/Everything. Any plans to make available the DVD variation for the current or future releases? For older 32-bit hardware, it can be nice to be able to burn a single layer DVD. Thanks for your time, -Brendan

Lockups with kernel-2.6.32-358.0.1.el6.i686
I updated my home server with the 6.4 CR packages, and I've experienced 3 or 4 hard lockups since. The server is a fanless VIA C7 "CentaurHauls" system with a 1GHz CPU underclocked to 800MHz and 1GB of RAM. It has a dual-port Intel 82546GB NIC in its single PCI slot. (It also has an on-board Realtek RTL-8110SC/8169SC NIC that is plugged in, but doesn't currently have an IP

ARM64 CentOS AltArch release 7.5
Hi, I have two questions: (1) In 7.3 CentOS released a rootfs tar for ARM64. I can no longer find this under the 7.5 release. Furthermore, I could also not find anything on the ISO that seems rootfs-like in any near complete state. The closest was the LiveOS/rootfs.img, but it seems this is not a complete fs as yum is missing components, for example. So my question is: Is there any way to still

system-config-network centos altarch
Hi I have just installed centos 7 altarch on a 32 bit computer. I selected the minimal system install. I see that when I search with yum there is no command system-config-network, i.e. yum search system-config-network Does this command (system-config-network) still exist? Would I expect it to be in the repository even though I did a minimum install? Although I do not have X, I can run some X

Can't build RPM for i686 target (i386 works)
I'm creating a simple RPM for my 32-bit CentOS 6 server. When I build the RPM without specifying a target architecture (rpmbuild foo.spec), it successfully builds an i386 RPM. If I try to build an i686 RPM, I get nothing: $ rpmbuild --target i686 foo.spec Building target platforms: i686 Building for target i686 And I'm returned to command prompt with no error message. The SPEC

New one on me: How to UN-transfer
I'm using a Snom 320 in a CAP position and the receptionist wants to do blind transfers. OK, no problem so far. Now she has asked me how to UN-transfer a call, as in, she transfers a call and wants to hook the call back before it connects (she wanted to tell the caller additional information for example) I don't think that this is possible as once my dialplan starts using Dial()

i686 packages for httpd and php
I do not see any i686 packages (32 bit) for httpd and php on the repositories for CentOS 7. Are they available somewhere? If not, is there a reasonably simple/quick way to build them myself? Thanks.

How to setup own i686 buildenv for CentOS7
Hi, all! How to setup own i686 mock for CentOS7? Or, is there any public i686 repo for CentOS7? I found i686 repo available in internal CentOS building environment, from a root.log from a mock build result[1]. [1] http://buildlogs.centos.org/c7-updates/glibc/20141218212615/2.17-55.el7_0.3.i386/root.log Cheers, -robin
