More recent libvirt builds for CentOS 7
Hello list,
is there a way to get more recent libvirt builds for CentOS 7 that include
support for the xl (modern Xen) toolstack?
I tried to build libvirt from the SRPM, which succeeded, however, without
the mentioned Xen parts.
I have also found two repos from people who provide upstream libvirt builds
for CentOS 7, again, without the Xen parts.

Looks like rebase for 7.2 will be 3.14 and not 3.16.
For example, https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1174597

Does anyone (*ahem* Rich) already have a yum repo with upstream libguestfs rpms for RHEL/CentOS7?
Obviously due to the heavy development, the packages in RHEL7 (even
7.2) lack tons of things. I'm specifically interested in virt-builder
and wondering if there's a preview repo that I'm not aware of. ...?

libvirtd for el7
Hi,
I see that for EL6 gwd already has pushed a libvirtd package with version 1.2.10[1].
I got request from VDSM development to provide libvirt >= 1.2.9 for EL7 for oVirt 3.6.
gwd, do you just rebuilt http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=594825 ?
I'm looking at http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=628689 may this work for you?

RStudio package maintenance moved to Copr
Many thanks I?aki.
Will Quarto get pulled in from your COPR automatically as well or do we
need to specifically install it before/after?
Also is it worth updating the "add ons" section at
https://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/fedora/ as well?

RStudio package maintenance moved to Copr
Dear all,
With the latest release of RStudio last week (v2024.09.0+375), support for
Qt builds has been removed. This means that we can no longer maintain
RStudio packages in the official Fedora repositories, because the necessary
Electron component is missing. RStudio is supported in the official
repositories up to v2024.04.2+764 and F40, and has been retired from newer
branches.

KeePassX replacement
I have been using the KeePassX password manager on CentOS 6 and 7 for some time and it works pretty well. On my Windows machine I use KeePass which offers a number of features missing from KeePassX, I also sync the database between several machines, including Android units where I use keepass2android. Database compatibility is thus required.
KeePassX, however, does not seem to be maintained any

It seems that glances is not in EPEL for CentOS 8. Is that coming at some
point, or has it been deprecated in favor of some other tool?

Of course, you can do that. With podman it's even easier. But then I'd
use Fedora as the base image instead, because you'll enjoy binary

[OT] EPEL update?
Hi,
OT for this list, but maybe I can get some pointers - how hard is it to get some packages updated in EPEL? The project web site sends you from link to link, and the ML web interface is horrible. No interest here to become a package maintainer or regular contributor.
I have taken it upon myself to rebuild MATE from Fedora 29, seeing that the current EPEL-7 packages are four revisions behind.
