Xen on OpenSSI?
Any thoughts on running Xen on OpenSSI? We have an app we''d like to
cluster but is expressly and completely incompatible with the OSes that
OpenSSI are supported on, but if we can run several Xen domains on a
cluster we can run those OSes and, naturally, that app.
Thoughts?

Build a shared disk, shared cpu, shared ram....supercomputing for expanding websites
Hey Group,
We are trying to build a shared disk, shared cpu, shared ram....using
a dell power edge servers.....which can utilize our server resource
for our expanding website. We are running RHEL4 on dell power edges.
Can anyone suggest any good production ready open source solution
running on top of 2.6 kernel that might work for us?
I have looked at openMosix which has only 2.4 kernel

[LLVMdev] [llvm-commits] SSI Patch
I tried to make 5 separate patches, but as they are constructive, they
had information from the last one. So I will post one by one as it gets
on the tree.
1. We had a function isUsedInTerminator that tested if a comparator was
used in the terminator of its parent BasicBlock. This is wrong because a
comparator can be created in a BasicBlock and used in the terminator of
other BasicBlock, and

[LLVMdev] SSI in LLVM
Dear LLVM Community,
I am one of the summer of coders working on LLVM this year. My
project is to implement the ABCD algorithm for array bounds checking,
and also a bitwidth analysis that maps variables to an approximation of
its size in bits. To implement this, I will have to simulate a
intermediate representation called SSI (Static Single Information) form
on top of LLVM SSA

[LLVMdev] SSI and ABCD for LLVM
By static array bounds checking, I mean eliminating array bounds checking
which can be proved ``safe'' at compile-time.
Well, even though there are a lot of approaches of doing this, I believe
that having an implementation of ABCD would very useful. It would be even
more useful if LLVM can have a general framework for doing static array
bounds checking -- just like the aliasing framework.

SSI like function in Rails?
Hey
Im slowly learning ruby and rails... still having some problems with
grasping the basic concepts though.
How do I include a common html snippet in some of my views? (The snippet
exists in two different flavors, I want to include either one depending
on what type of user (admin/others) is requesting the page)
I have tried the normal SSI include tags, but my WEBrick server cant

[LLVMdev] SSI and ABCD for LLVM
Dear Andre,
That's great! Thanks for the blog. I am really looking forward into
using ABCD in vmkit!
Cheers,

SSI and CGI output
I need to invoke a script in my cgi-bin with a ssi include.
Is there a way to do this in rails?
I found a post that I have to add an OutputFilter for dispatch.fcgi to
go through mod_ssi.
Can anybody tell how to do this?
Thanks,
Simon

[LLVMdev] SSI and ABCD for LLVM
Dear Community,
I'm working on a project for Google Summer of Code, to implement the
ABCD and Bitwidth analysis in LLVM. I'm not going to extend the
description of the project here, this link shows my proposal
http://homepages.dcc.ufmg.br/~andrelct/projects/gsoc_2009/proposal.
I have been in some discussions on this list about Ada and SSI that
helped on my decisions up to this

[LLVMdev] SSI and ABCD for LLVM
Dear Nicolas,
I'm curious why you are using ABCD in vmkit. Do you need any features
from static array bounds checking? As far as I know, SAFECode has a
number of implementation for that.
Thanks.

RE: [openMosix-general] openMosix and R: File I/O issues?
It's generally said that OM needs lots more swap than plain Linux. There has
to be someplace to juggle processes around. We use 4 GB nodes with something
like 12 GB swap; that plus round-robin logins to distribute home nodes
seemed to solve a lot of our problems.
To use oMFS to allow processes to write from the node they've migrated to
you also need DFSA enabled. That sounds like a great

Re: [openMosix-general] openMosix and R: File I/O issues?
Memory could be an issue. The three nodes in the cluster we are using
only have 512 MB. The machines are otherwise identical in terms of
hardware. They are dual PIIIs (purchased from Penguin Computing in
2001). (If you need specs on motherboard etc, we can get that info
together.)
The installed operating system is RHEL-3, standard workstation with some
additional libraries (e.g., all of the

winbind question
I could use some input to point out the error in my configuration, which
eludes me.
Previously I operated a 225-node cluster with samba 4.3 and sssd on the
Linux boxes. Everything worked OK.
Now I am using samba 4.11.6 on CentOS 7.7, patched up to date. The DC, on
a KVM VM, is the only node configured so far. I am using winbind in place
of sssd (my first experience with winbind). BIND9_DLZ

openMosix vs SNOW: redhat kernel causing slowdown?
Hi there,
We're currently attempting to explain a slowdown of an LVQ-type parallel
analysis we're working on. We are benchmarking our analysis running
over openMosix against the same running via SNOW for R. Both perform
similarly on small datasets, but on large datasets SNOW drastically
outperforms openMosix. However, these results are achieve running SNOW

openMosix and R: File I/O issues?
Hi there,
We're attempting to run an LVQ analysis over a cluster of machines via R
and openMosix. R spawns several child processes simply by writing
commands to several files and using system() to start a slave process.
The processes migrate perfectly, and often finish with no reported
errors, writing their results into respective files for the parent
process to piece together.

New to Xen: Can Xen Work with OpenMosix?
Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this question. In that event,
please point me in the right direction.
My question is whether or not I can use Xen with OpenMosix. The upshot of what
I''m attempting to do is this:
1. Build a two to four node cluster using OpenMosix for "raw horsepower"
2. Use Xen on the OpenMosix cluster to divide the "raw horsepower" any
