Status Update: WebsiteVer2
Hi all, as most of you may have noticed, Alain and I am working towards the new web environment setup. Therefore we have already created a new wiki category where we are trying to outline our vision of a CentOS 'Web Style' and how it could be applied to the applications we are using (or planning to use). http://wiki.centos.org/WebsiteVer2/WebEnvironment To make this happen some HTTP

CentOS wiki
Hello, My name is Ronaldo Saheki and I work as sysadmin using CentOS in a wide range of system configurations: scientific workstations with 3d stereoscopic monitor/goggles, one of the former top100 clusters (top500.org) in 2005 (trindade) that runs on CentOS 4.7, and several servers and applications servers at Petrobras. CentOS is the official linux distro for workstation and servers at

[LLVMdev] Overhauling the command-line processing/codegen options code
Is anyone currently working on overhauling the command-line processing code? We're currently having some design issues with this component, and I'd like to start a larger conversation on it. For context, I am talking from an "LLVM as a library" perspective instead of an "LLVM as a set of tools" perspective. In a nut-shell, the problems we are facing are as follows:

Looking for configuration suggestions
I am in the process of completely overhauling the storage setup here and plan to go to glusterfs. The storage involved is 8x Coraid units, 2x JetStor and a Dell MD3000. The Coraid and JetStor are network connected via ATA over Ethernet & iSCSI. The disks are also being upgraded to 1TB in the process. I do plan to use unify to bring most if not all the storage together. My first

xl - no support for DRBD disks?
I tried to create a domain with drbd based disk as the backend "drbd:<resourcename>,..," and I get a "unknown disk type" error. I can spin out a patch if needed, but just wanted to know apriori if this was left out for any specific reason. shriram _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com

sshd config parser
Hi All. For various reasons, we're currently looking at extending (or even overhauling) the config parser used for sshd_config. Right now the syntax I'm looking at is a cumulative "Match" keyword that matches when all of the specified criteria are met. This would be similar the the Host directive used in ssh_config, although it's still limiting (eg you can't easily

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Overhauling Attributes
Overhauling Attributes Problem ======= LTO needs a way to pass options through to different parts of the compiler. In particular, we need to pass code generation options to the back-end. The way we want to do this is via the LLVM Attributes class. In order to do that, we need to overhaul the Attributes class. The Attributes class right now isn't very extensible. After considering several

How to Unify Authentication
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi Guys, To organize ideas about the unification of CentOS authentication I propose you to use the following wiki page: http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/UnifyAuthentication I've already started it with some headers. You are welcome to improve it. Don't know if it is in the correct place and if the headers are appropriated. I've put there

Swarm (win95 game) leaving fragments
Hi all, installed the old space shooter Swarm and it is running fine pleased to say except artefacts of lasers and rockets that have been fired staying on screen for up to another 6 seconds. This is as you can imagine a bit irritating as they move with and stay on the screen. Wine x.19. Have set the game to 'unmanaged' by the window manager as was suggested here in another thread, but

PowerDNS binaries on centosplus?
Hi everyone, How does one go about putting a request for getting a package included in centosplus? We are heavy users the product PowerDNS and are keen to see that be included in the centosplus repository, so it can be compiled against other recent packages like MySQL5 etc. Any pointers will be helpful -- "I never look back darling, it distracts from the now", Edna Mode (The
