Laptop for CentOS

Thinkpads are also specifically the laptops that Red Hat issues internally for Linux laptops .. so RHEL (and therefore CentOS, since built from RHEL sources) should continue to have support for thinkpads both now and into the future.

Add noise programmatically after encode
Hi, I'm currently playing around with Securimage [1], a PHP captcha package. In addition to showing you a picture it can also play it as audio for you. At the moment, multiple WAV files are merged together and random background noise is being added. The drawback is the size of the audio files. Speex is able to reduce the size with 85%(!) with hardly any quality loss. This is enough reason

Noise Cancellation of Server Noise

speex_denoise on non-microphone noise (static ?)
Hi, I'm not sure how speex_denoise() works, but my solution to this problem is fairly straightforward and works well in practice (in a simple VoIP program.) Note that I am also an amateur and am making up some terminology here... but I've tested my approach on several noisy environments with low-quality mics and it does work well. Problem: There's usually annoying noise present

There are rack chassis designed to reduce noise. An example are the APC

speex_denoise on non-microphone noise (static ?)
That's might be speex_denoise() is trying to do already, based on the fact that if noise is present in speech signal, the former gets suppressed to a certain extend. Also, I noticed after suppression, the short, noisy attack - speex_denoise() have to be doing some kind of profiling. I've looked at a few offline denoise() solutions. They all involve profile building. A real-time

Bad Line Noise over T1
I've got a system where I'm integrating a Nortel Option 11c with a Trixbox 2.0.0 system using a Sangoma A101 T1 card. (Running on a Dell PowerEdge 350) We've got things mostly up and running and all seems well... except... If I call from a SIP extension (X-lite soft phone) dialing 9xxxx where xxxx is an extension on the Opt 11, the call goes through to the Opt 11 but I have terrible

speex_denoise on non-microphone noise (static ?)
I'm not sure you'd have much success in trying to make a generic profile to fit the "typical noisy PC" since PC configurations vary so much. Consider an integrated AC97 codec vs. the mic input on an SB Live!/Audigy Live!Drive, or whether or not the input from the CD-ROM audio is muted, or what noisy devices might be situated near the mic. It's nice to be able to get

speex_denoise on non-microphone noise (static ?)
The problem started with speech detection. Speech sections are detected well. However, once in a while non-speech sections are also marked as speech. The root was finally traced down to microphone static noise. Then I pulled the microphone out. Our system still records noise. To isolate the problem, I wrote a small app just to open the device and record raw samples, calls speex_denoise()

Integrating speex with VideoNet application: Constantbackground noise
The absolute values may be different for a variety of reasons; you can hardwire them all to 0 to see if your noise goes away. Make sure the values on the decompressed (PCM) side are little-endian (low byte first in memory), assuming you're working in Windows on x86. -- john RAD Game Tools -----Original Message----- From: Carine Liang [mailto:carineliang@yahoo.com.sg] Sent: Sunday,

Can you post the input and output file on the web and specify what options you're using (use speexenc/speexdec, *not* your own code).
