"failed to setup INTx fd: Operation not permitted" error when using PCI passthrough
Hi, I'm on a Dell VEP 1405 running Debian 9.11 and I'm running a few tests with various interfaces given in PCI passthrough to a qemu/KVM Virtual Machine also running Debian 9.11. I noticed that only one of the four I350 network controllers can be used in PCI passthrough. The available interfaces are: *# dpdk-devbind.py --status Network devices using kernel driver

"scripts are not supported on interfaces of type vhostuser" error
Hi, I'm having trouble starting a VM with vhostuser interfaces. I have a simple configuration where a VM running Debian has 1 vhostuser interface plugged into an OVS switch where a DPDK interface is already plugged in. $ ovs-vsctl show: Bridge "switch1" Port "switch1" Interface "switch1" type: internal Port "1.switch1"

Re: "scripts are not supported on interfaces of type vhostuser" error
Spot on! The script qemu-ifup was indeed the cause of the problem. It's a dummy script that only does "exit 0" and it was apparently needed in the past with old versions of libvirt. I see examples on the net where it is used to configure interfaces with shell commands. I don't need it. I see that everything works fine without the <script

Multiple PCI bus support
Hi, I saw that Xen support a translation between device/intx to GSI for a single PCI bus, I thought about adding multiple PCI bus support but disregard the bus information so the same device/intx on different buses will be OR wired to the same GSI, sounds reasonable? What other things do I need to support in Xen in order to add multiple PCI buses, assuming that secondary buses holds only

[PATCH 1/9] v2v: Stable bus and slot numbers for removable drives (RHBZ#1238053).
This patch series adds stable bus and slot numbers for removable drives (CDs and floppies) when the guest is converted using virt-v2v or virt-p2v. Previously we were a bit random about this. After this patch series, the bus and slot numbers and preserved if at all possible. BZ: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1238053 Rich.

GSM / 3g channel bank
More than 60% of our outbound calls are now to mobiles, so the time has come to whack in a gsm channel bank. Does anyone have any preference of bank ? Do you use a PRI or VOIP connection from the bank to asterisk ? Real-world experiences are sooooo much better than marketing blurb ;) We currently have a TE412P with a free socket, so we have a choice either way. I am looking for up to 30

booting usb stick
Hi all, I have been trying to get a usb stick 8G to boot centos. I am as far a it boots and hangs at "Switching to new root". I take the same USB stick and put it another PC and it boots fine. What might I look for as to why the machine hangs at switching to new root? Of course the machines are different. The one that does not boot is an ebox 2300sx and the one that does boot is an
