Australian Options
I would just like to get a refresh of the situation for Australian users.
It would seem that the TE400P is currently available and is likely to
acheive approval for use in Australia within the next 2 months ? (when is
the end of summer?).
Once this is done, it will certainly suit larger installations, but it still
leaves a number of 'gaps'.
Anyone with analog phone lines will need

List Rules
Does anyone know if their are rules that this list is supposed to be
following? It doesn't appear to be moderated, so I realize that such
rules would be self-enforced, but it still might be good to agree on
some. Likewise, we could agree on none. That works also. Any
thoughts?
Some suggestions:
1) Be polite at all times. Imagine your grandmother reads this list.
2) If you can't be

This list now requires that all posts be approved by a moderator

This will prevent situations such as occurred yesterday when an email

filtering back through the samba-announce list.

Re: assign static public IP to container
oh also would like to add that in the past when i post to a moderated
list i usually receive an email explaining such, and offering me the
opportunity to cancel the message by visiting a special URL (i think, or
replying to the message e.g.) or wait for it to be approved. since i
didn't receive any such email, i figured the duplicate posts were
silently rejected.

Should List be Moderated?
In light of recent flame baits and advertisements sent to the list, I
would like to seek opinions of list members on making the list moderated.
I certainly don't have time to moderate the list myself, so I would
suggest giving at least a half dozen, maybe more, people the ability to
approve posts to keep it flowing quickly. Moderators would be asked just
to approve/disapprove based upon a

I've been away from this list but reentered recently. Now when I send a

Posting Messages to this list
All,
This list is a "Members Only" posting list ... this is good because it
prevents us from getting hundreds of Viagra commercials and such.
You can only post to the list with the e-mail address that you
subscribed with.
If you post from another e-mail address, it will tell you that "Your
post needs to be approved by a Moderator."
I just want to tell everyone that I

R-announce moved from majordomo to [procmail+mailman]
I have moved the R-announce mailing list from the Majordomo
software to a combination of procmail & mailman an hour or so ago.
You find a link in the footer of this message giving an URL
where you can modify your subscription, look at the archives
(everything from the beginning in 1997) and more.
CHANGE: Postings to R-announce are now moderated, ie.
they have to be approved by a list

assign vectors to objects
Hi everyone,
I try to add many vectors (L1,L2,L3....) to multiple list objects (a.list,
b.list....) in a workspace. Somethings like below, but it is not
working. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Best, John

RE: How to log and block specific application a ctivity
Have read the comments about Shorewall not being a personal
firewall, etc., and am not necessarily advocating such use,
but, trying to get into the poster''s head, and doing some
creative thinking, thought that possibly some form of EGID
rule might help out if there is a reasonable reason behind
the question. It is not hard for me to see how something
like this could be useful.

[LLVMdev] Setting Moderator Bits
Dear All,
Are people setting the "moderated" bit on their subscriptions to
llvm-commits? I'm seeing several people who are subscribed but have
their moderated bit set, and so I keep seeing emails seeing that I need
to approve their posts.

List Closed to Non-member Posts
For several years, this list has been moderated for non-member posts.
I''ve found that this is a pain for me (I have to wade through the spam
to find and approve legitimate posts). Additionally, non-members seem
to almost universally ignore instructions to mention that they are
non-members in their post. Since the mailing list is set up so that
replies go to the list rather than to the
