An RPM of wine with safedisc support
Safedisc has now been working on wine for almost a year, but it'll still take some time before we get the code into winehq, so I've decided to build an RPM of wine with safedisc 1 support so users can play around with it, you can download it from http://www003.portalis.it/115/wine-safedisc-0.9.16-mdk.i586.rpm Safedisc 2 and above are not supported. DCOM95 or DCOM98
Hi, Tons of instalation (and probably applications too) needs DCOM to install. There are 2 availables DCOM to be installed DCOM95 and DCOM98. Both with version 1.3 . Most documentations on wine say that wine is more likely to work with windows 98 (as the C:\ ). However, most guides to specific applications like office, dreamweaver, corel draw say that DCOM95 should be installed. usually

Re: macromedia dreamweaver mx
Then using dcom95 is a license violation!! Using dcom95 without windows is like using windows with no win license, did you read the dcom license? In any case try with the new wine-20020904. > > > puoti@inwind.it wrote: > > Try using the dlls from windows 95 cd, I'm not talking about the dcom95 > > dlls, but the dlls win95 installs in c:windows/system. > > > :),

DCOM9x - Is it used only for instalation or running?
Hi all, I have a doubt: is the DCOM95/DCOM98 used only for instalation purposes or it is used for the running process to do something? I'm asking this because we have equal workstations that we could just install wine, configure it the same way and put only the apps we want to run but without DCOM9x because it requires a Windows license. Is that possible? I mean I could use only one

Hello, school is over so I can get back to more serious things like fixing wine bugs. At some point someone asked for the software from http://www.guitarport.com/ to be fixed. I tried it today, and it installs and works. I haven't got the hardware it's supposed to work with, but if anyone is aware of bugs in this software that I can get to without any additional hardware, please let me

I tried the instructions on Frank's IE5.5 page, including copying all the files and directories to my ~/.wine/fake_windows/ directory (except jsnl.dll, which I could not find...) I do not know if dcom95 exists somewhere in one of the directories that I copied across, but I know that exactly the same thing happens when I try to run IE on the Windows partition (instead of
