Timer doesn't appear to start
One last update. I needed to log out and in to get the group add of my user
nutmon to be recognized. My permissions are now root:nut on upssched.conf
and it works.

Timer doesn't appear to start
The time and upssched-cmd are now working.
Here are the issues I had:
1) Did not define NOTIFYCMD in upsmon.conf Added NOTIFYCMD /sbin/upssched
2) Added +EXEC to NOTIFYMSG rules I am using
3) Change ownership of upssched.conf to my nut user nutmom. I had added
nutmon to the group nut but it didn't work.
Thanks again for all your guidance

Timer doesn't appear to start
I only pasted a subset of my upsmon.conf. NOTIFYCMD is in my upsmon.conf
AFA nutmon user. I was trying different things I had the directory as
nutmon nut but changed it to nutmon nutmon to see if that worked. It didn't
make a difference.
Sorry about the digest this. I needed to hit a line in gmail web client to
see the subject line. Know I know. Thanks for the heads up..

Deltec PRA1500 UPS and FC4
I recently bought new batteries for this old "Compaq"
Deltec PRA 1500 ups and downloaded LanSafe3 and
haven't had much luck communicating with the UPS via a
serial cable. Does anyone out there have a manual on
this UPS? Or has anyone else gotten this to work with
LanSafe3 and/or upsd?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Question on weird output from a Compaq R3000
Hi All,
I put my Compaq R3000 UPS on NUT.
Every once in a while the battery alarm light turns on, on the front
of the UPS. Maybe once every couple of days or so. When that happens
I get the following output in /var/log/messages:

Hardware compatibiltiy list -- NetUPS
Hallo,
I own a NETUPS 450 (Model on the sticker: PRM 450i; upsstats reports
"UPS 450 VA FW -0024") which perfectly works with the upscode2 driver.
Maybe you want to add it to your list, even if the model is >10 years
old.
I suppose this is true for the whole series. According manual the come
in the 450VA, 700VA, 1000VA and 1500VA strengths.
They have been sold under different

Back UPS ES and data stale with disconnected device
Hello NUT Team!
I continue playing with NUT for Windows and USBHID-UPS driver I've got from Frederic to fix "Data Stale" problem.
It seems there is something wrong when Network UPS Tools service is starting with disconnected USB cable. UPSMON is writing "Data Stale" to output and continue do it infinitely, even the cable is connected back. Here is a short log:

Powerware 9120 serial connection via USB/serial dongle
I decided to try this to see if it worked better since
Powerware decided to build in some oddball USB
protocol instead of using a HID UPS profile, but it
doesn't seem to work. The USB/serial dongle is
recognized by Linux and added as /dev/ttyUSB0, owned
by group "dialout", so I had to add the nut user to
the dialout group. In the compatibility list, the
proper driver for the

WALL not working on Debian 12
Hello,
I have noticed that (apparensly) since Debian 12 upgrade the WALL
commands for upsmon.conf don's seem to work.
To test I have configured upsmon-dummy.conf to debug this:
NOTIFYCMD /usr/sbin/upssched
NOTIFYFLAG ONBATT SYSLOG+EXEC+WALL
NOTIFYFLAG ONLINE SYSLOG+EXEC+WALL
the /usr/sbin/upssched gets called:
/lib/nut/upsmon -D -D -D -D -f /etc/nut/upsmon-dummy.conf
and I

WALL not working on Debian 12
Maybe...ish - I haven't seen those for a while, but had few outages either.
Can you check if the updated (root) user profile or default profile(s)
under /etc mention `mesg n` or similar means of limiting broadcasts?
In your manual `wall` executions, do you see them in the same terminal that
sent the message, or on all terminals (GUI, SSH sessions)? As root or as
any user (as recipient and as

Problem with blazer_ser/megatec when upgrading to 2.6.0 from 2.4
Hello
First things first, thanks for great work with NUT.
For years I used Informer compact 3kVA UPS
http://www.informups.com/informer_compact.html with nut/megatec serial
driver, but it stopped working when I switched to blazer_ser with
2.6.0 upgrade.
I'm using 2.6.0 on gentoo.
Blazer_ser seems to connect with UPS, but upsmon reports driver not connected.
