Issues with USB connectivity
Howdy nut-users :) Got a problem with nut detecting my UPS. Here's my scenario. Base platform is a HP ML350 G6. UPS is an APC Smart-UPS 1000. Base OS is VMware ESXi 5.0 with all current patches. I've created a virtual machine using the VMWare supplied VMA. USB passthrough is configured to pass the UPS through to the VMA. So I essentially have a SLES 11 (x86_64) server with a USB

MGE Evolution, USB and linux
I have a MGE Evolution 3000 connected via USB to a linux server (HP Proliant G3). The server is running kernel 2.4.30 and nut-2.0.3. But before nut trying to connect to the UPS, I guess HID doesn't work as long as I get a message like this in dmesg: -------------------------------------------------- usb.c: new device strings: Mfr=4, Product=136, SerialNumber=50 usb.c: USB device number 2

Unable to mount a USB DVD drive
I can't seem to get an external DVD drive to show up on an CentOS 7 server. Wondering if it's just missing a driver or if I'm missing something fundamental. It's an external USB device that works fine on my Fedora 21 Laptop, but I never get a /dev/ entry (EG: /dev/sr0) on the server. What can I do to make this thing work? Communications with UPS denchi@localhost lost
Hi, I always had problems that my Smart-UPS 1500 had "hickups" with nut: Connection would get lost, just to get restored seconds later again. This resulted in annoying log entried and console messages but wasn't too critical. For a few days, nut doesn't detect my UPS at all any more. I get the console messages: Broadcast message from nut at server (somewhere) (Tue Oct 29

Need help with Unitek Alpha 1200sx.
Hi, I'm new to NUT. I've installed Fedora 8 and NUt along with it. I'm now having a go at getting my Unitek Alpha 1200sx UPS to work and shutdown the box automatically. I know this isn't officially supported but I'm trying my luck... I've seen that other Unitek UPSs use the 'megatec' driver however I'm unsure whether this will do the trick. My UPS comes with a
