Today I downloaded the latest WINE version from CVS, and I'm still

wineboot && wineserver
Hi all,
I'm currently writing a simple script for a few friends to install a
soft with wine.
The point is wineserver is not in the path of my user. Should I call it
directly from /usr/lib/wine ?
Another wine bin is not found : wineboot ? Is it linked with my distro
(Kubuntu/Debian based) ? Is it included in a lib I did not install ? Is
it installed in further versions (I use 20041019,

Lotus Notes 6.5 crash on Wine on Kubuntu 11.10
Hello,
I have a very strange problem.
I've upgraded from Ubuntu 11.04 to Kubuntu 11.10 (yes, the KDE Version).
I've installed Wine and then Lotus Notes 6.5.
The problem is that almost everytime when I exit Lotus Notes, it seems to crash.
A window appears telling me that "NSD is Running !"... and an error-like window.
A log file is generated in my

Lotus Notes 5.09 which wine? Resolved
Noted, Darren.
Thanks for that. The compile option is interesting, I'll file that for
next time.
Resolution: Do the install under wine until it stops, kill it. Mounted a
Windows hdd, copied the Lotus dir, not overwriting that which got left
behind by the killed installation, chown and chmod the new files to similar
to those installed by wine, works fine. Very simple, but means

Hi,
I tried the two last wine versions on my linux box (Mandrake 10.1) and
I'm still meeting problems while opening new tabs (Replication for exemple).
There still are regressions in this releasen comparing with 20041201.
I'm switching back to this good-working version.

Linux apps from inside Wine (was:Re: Problems with Lotus Notes R5.0.12 under Wine 20050524)
Hi Andreas,
I saw someone (Mike or Joachim, I think) at the list saying you
have to shutdown the wineserver. It will overwrite the system.reg as soon
it goes down. So before you make the changes be sure there is none wine*
process running.
Hope this helps. If not, write us again and we'll help you

Lotus Notes R7 on Wine
Hello
I currently trying to run the Domino Client (Lotus Notes R7) on Wine 0.9.14 but couldn't get success yet.
Does somebody has experience about running the R7 on Wine? I tried a lot of diffrent WINEDLLOVERRIDES settings but all I get is that Lotus brings the crash dialog (which creates a crash error message). I would be very appreciative for any hint.

Wine, Lotus Notes and date format
Hi all,
Finally I found out how to teach Lotus Notes to use
a date format different from the American m/d/yy format.
Lotus Notes (4.6) reads win.ini. Not the registry.
The win.ini is stored under Wine in ~/.wine/win.ini
(there's probably also a system wide location).
There you can add a group [Intl] with the keys of
a standard Window's registry. Using regedit under
windows, have a look

Did anybody meet a problem with attachments from Lotus Notes under Wine?
I run FC3 and latest (20041201) Wine, Lotus Notes client 5.0.8. It works
fine, but crashes when I'm trying to attach any file to e-mail. Have you

Thanks a lot
