If the driver is crashing, you might be affected by this bug:

I realize it is no longer a common list configuration. Feel free to use "Reply All" in Gmail - I won't get two copies.

Question regarding config, not sure if syslinux or tftp-hpa related
Good morning everybody,
I'm pretty new to syslinux & tftp-hpa, and so I'm not quite sure where
my question belongs to, but I'll try it here first.
I want to enhance the network services by offering a LTSP (just for the
case the pc or laptop doesn't work for some reasons). And so, for
testing, I added a second linux-based system (lets call it system-b).
Currently the tftpd

NUT on Raspberry PI 3b+
I was able to make NUT and my Powercom SPIDER UPS (USB port) work under
the Raspberry Pi Desktop (Debian). Everything works in VMware
Workstation 15 Player. But my Raspberry Pi 3b + (with raspbian last
version) doesn’t work with the same UPS, and with same NUT
configuration. Raspberry sees the UPS, but the driver does not cling.
Here is the response of Raspberry 3b + to some commands.

samba to act as bdc for w2k8 AD?
Hello everybody,
could samba (version 3 or 4) act as a "bdc" for an w2k8/r2 AD?
There's one external office with a few users only, and there will be a
samba-based system for file-storage - so if that system could also do
the user-authentication for all users there it'd be nearly perfect ...
Have a nice weekend!

Samba4 fails to work following upgrade - library version errors
Hello,
I was running Samba4 for a while on my Raspberry Pi (Raspbian distro, running 3.6.11+ #371 PREEMPT armv6l kernel).? The version of Samba I was running was 4.1.0pre1-GIT-fd8b258.
Last night I decided to try to upgrade to see if I could upgrade it without breaking it.
Note that the AD this Pi is the DC for doesn't have any physical clients as members; I was using a Virtual PC running

PowerShield Defender 1200VA
Hi,
Sometime ago I asked the question about getting nut to run on my iMac as
I was having trouble getting the USB driver to behave with OS X. The
same driver under LINUX is fine. It was suggested that the better option
might be to run nut on a Rasberry PI instead and monitor the nut daemon
from the iMac.
Well I have bought a Rasberry PI, I have other things planned for it. I
have installed nut

APC Back-UPS XS1300 battery behaviour on test shutdown
Hi there,
Seeing an odd behaviour when running upsmon -c fsd to test my Raspberry Pi
(running Jesse Lite) setup as a upsmon master, attached via USB to an APC
Back-UPS XS1300.
The Raspberry Pi is plugged into the Master outlet on the APC.
The UPS clicks onto battery (and the fan spins up) for a few minutes, then
resets, then repeats again, while finally remaining on AC power afterwards.
