[EXTERNAL] SNMP shutdown timing out
Is NUT using the same SNMP v3 user as your SNMP Set or a different one? If it is a different one (e.g. an SNMP v1 or v2c string) does that user / community string have read/write access? tcpdump to listen for packets across UDP 161 is one way to check what is actually being sent. Thank you, David Zomaya Tripp Lite ________________________________ From: Nut-upsuser

SNMP shutdown timing out
I'm in the process of trying to get NUT to manage an APC SmartUPS. Monitoring of the UPS is working fine: $ upsc nutdev1 at localhost Init SSL without certificate database ambient.1.humidity.alarm.high: 60.00 ambient.1.humidity.alarm.low: 30.00 ambient.1.temperature.alarm.high: 40.00 ambient.1.temperature.alarm.low: 10.00 battery.charge: 94.00 battery.charge.restart: 0 battery.current: 0.00

APC Matrix 5000 UPS
Hello, I can get nut to work with this UPS using the apcsmart driver, but only with limited functionality. It is only reporting the OL/OB status and that's about it. None of the other useful variables such as run time, load etc are reported and initiating battery tests does not work either. Has anyone managed to get nut to report more than these variables with a Matrix type UPS? I see

apcsmart and dual environmental sensors
Hi, We have a several AP9612TH environmental cards (they have 2 probe connectors) inserted into our APC UPS devices which monitor temperature and humidity. The apcsmart nut module knows how to query the ambient.temperature and ambient.humidity using the 't' and 'h' commands of the UPS (refer to apcsmart.h). The results of the 't' and 'h' commands are from probe 1.

Findings of dual APC UPS sensor attachments
Hi, We have several APC Smart UPSes (serial port/apcsmart) with the APC Temp/Humidity sensor cards (AP9612TH). The sensor cards have 2 plugs for 2 separate sensors. So far, we have only used one of the sensors in conjunction with the apcsmart module from nut. This has been working great. Example output: [nut at nut]# upsc APC11 ambient.humidity: 037.2 ambient.humidity.alarm.maximum: NO,NO

APC SmartUPS 750 (SUA750) missing ambient data with usbhid-ups
I have a SmartUPS 750 (SUA750) which has the temperature and humidity SmartSlot card installed. When NUT 2.2 communicates with this UPS over /dev/ttyS0 using apcsmart, using the APC Smart cable connected to the SUA750 serial port, and this ups.conf: [su700] driver=apcsmart port = /dev/ttyS0 I can see the ambient temperature and humidity data with "upsc su700 at

Re old message CPQPOWER-MIB - nearly there (using snmp-ups with HP AH401A management card)
Hi, This appears to be related to a thread from January 2010: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2010-January/004470.html NB: This is on an HP-UX 11.31 box, using a self compiled and packaged version of NUT 2.6.3, and net-snmp v5.7.1. Therefore some of the search paths and things like that may well be wrong because I've done something dumb. I'm also only just getting

? has mib:::udp[In/Out]Datagrams been superceded by mib:::udpHC[In/Out]Datagrams
Hi, Looking at some udp stuff on snv_57, and I noticed that mib:::udpInDatagrams no longer exists, has this been superceded by mib:::udpHCInDatagrams? From my understanding they represent the same counter, but I''m asking in case this is a bug. I noticed that there is still a reference to udpInDatagrams in the DTrace testsuite. - Fintan

The top-level mapping binds the vendor entry OIDs (often "hidden" so one has to know where to poke). It may also be higher in the list of snmp-ups.h, in case the device also serves the older MIB but you'd prefer the

Updating snmp-mib.c with new Cyberpower v2.0 MIB
Chugging along... Question for the gang -- CyberPower lists other items in their MIB for controlling PD units and some other things. Does NUT support all that and should I make an effort to get all that in or should we skip for now and get UPS primary ingredients inserted and tested? just wondering, ?-Ben -- Ben Kamen - O.D.T., S.P.

limited resolution on DVI and HDMI at the same time
I got 1920x1200 at 59.95Hz via DVI and 3840x2160 at 60.00Hz via HDMI at the same time with the proprietary nvidia driver. I get flickering on the 1920x1200 at 59.95 with the nouveau driver (it doesn't flicker if I lower it to 1920x1080 at 59.96). Any idea why? proprietary: $ xrandr Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 5760 x 2160, maximum 32767 x 32767 DVI-D-0 connected primary 1920x1200+0+0

Updating snmp-mib.c with new Cyberpower v2.0 MIB
Hey all, ?I'm feeling spunky... and want to update nut to handle the new v2.0 MIB from CyberPower. I've looked at the cyberpower v0.1 .c/.h and being new to working on nut to this level -- anything anyone has to offer on adding code besides the obvious? like: should the 0.1 and 2.0 coexist somehow? (maybe different files) (also, is there a list of all the parms I can match up from the

Meaning of Battery Resting/PW-MIBs
Hi, just testing with a HP R1500 XR (answers as Powerware) with SNMP/Serial Port Card using SNMP I found: 1st: The batt status 1.3.6.1.4.1.534.1.2.5.0 goes away after some time. Isn't visible in a snmpwalk anymore, seems to be a bug in the card. 2nd: The ups turns into "resting" 48h after battery is full. It turns off the fan, the batt voltage lowers a little, it seems, avoiding
