usbhid-ups doesn't work after kernel/libs update
Hi.
I use NUT on embedded system, and after update distro to fresh one I've
got a non-working usbhid APC monitoring.
There's 2 troubles:
1) I/O error for root on usbhid device
2) Permissions error for nut user
Root log:
# /usr/bin/usbhid-ups -u root -DDDDDD -a infocom

dialplan game
Has anyone built a game with the dialplan? I would think this would
most easily be managed by an AGI, but its possible with realtime
extensions.
The game would be like 'adventure' that I first played on a prime in
1979. Or any of the infocom games (ie zork). Infact since the infocom
spec is known it might be possible to plug in the data files directly
from an AGI.
If anyone has done

Wow! this got long on me.
The problem seems similar to the one expressed here:

Tripp-Lite SMART1000LCD usbhid failed to claim USB device
Trying to get a Tripp-Lite to work with nut--Ubuntu 10.10. I was getting the
error message "unable to claim USB device", tried to unbind the drivers to
that device, and had the following delightful experience. In short, continue
to get the same problem, and the drivers bound themselves back.
Any suggestions?

Smart1500lcdt will not connect with usbhid-ups
Another Update:
I had to reboot my server today. After the reboot, I had the exact same problem as before without the usb hub.
Since I already had the ups connected and communicating, I decided to try to figure out how to fix it.
Here is what worked for me using the usb 2.0 hub
sudo upsd ?c stop
sudo upsdrvctl stop
sudo upsdrvctl start
sudo upsd
Everything connected up and was

Smart1500lcdt will not connect with usbhid-ups KSTAR BM3150 1500VA "Line Interactive" High Frequency UPS
Barry,
I have had success with NUT on Debian and an EATON 5E2000IUSB-AU 5E
2000VA/1200W UPS With 3 x OUTLETS which I believe is good value.
I would believe the the EATON ?5E 1500VA/900W UPS With 3 x OUTLETS
would work just as well.
The 1500VA also uses the same batteries as the 2000VA so I would
believe it would run its raited load longer than 2000VA. My eight
drive RAID driver uses less that

NUT 2.8.1-3 " Can't claim USB device [051d:0002]@0/0: Entity not found" using usbhid-ups
Hi all,
Yesterday, I bought a UPS for the first time in my life, and was eager to
dive into NUT. But not all is working as expected... I saw a similar thread
started on 18 October, but it didn't help me. (I also spent a handful of
hours searching the web for solutions, and of course read the manual and
FAQ - "queequeg".)
I tried shutting my UPS (APC "Back-UPS BX750MI

Smart1500lcdt will not connect with usbhid-ups
I talked to Tripp Lite Technical support.
Their policy is that they only support Fedora and SUSE. There is no one
there that could help with Ubuntu or NUT issues. The only answer they could
give me was to port the rpm files to Ubuntu and use them. This is way
beyond my experience level.
I will go to the local electronics store and buy a cheap USB 2 hub to see if
that works. I will post the

USBHID-UPS not detecting USB UPS even though options match
Hello:
I have a Cyberpower OL1500RTXL2U ups connected to a raspberry pi running
void linux via USB.
After configuring the UPS and attempting to start the usbhid-ups driver, it
fails to detect it, even when running with the -u root option. Based on the
debug logs, it checks the correct USB device but doesn't detect it for some
reason.
