Kerberos failed password not working
Hello, ? I have recently set up a system to test the relatively new ability of Kerberos to track failed password attempts and lock out users for a given period of time if they exceed a threshold.? My system is Centos 6.2 running the krb5-server-1.9-22.el6_2.1.x86_64 RPM.? I have created a testuser in the Kerberos domain, and applied the policy as shown below.? If I then attempt to log on to the

Ldapscripts v1.4 is out
Hello all, And now a small advert ;-) I'm pleased to announce the v 1.4 of the ldapscripts. The ldapscripts are shell scripts provided under the terms of the GPL license. They allow to manage POSIX accounts (users, groups, machines) in an LDAP directory. They can be used on GNU/Linux and FreeBSD (and any other Unix-like ?). They are similar to the smbldap-tools but are written in sh, not

Adding axis to an ellipse: "ellipse" package
Dear list members, This might be a silly question but I just can't figure it out. I am using the "ellipse" package on covariance matrices. I would simply like to plot my ellipses WITH its two axis ploted as well. These axis represents the 2 eigen vectors of my matrix and it is important that I can graphically show them. Is there an easy way to do so? Many thanks, Antoine -- View

Tripp Lite Smart1000LCD driver problem
Thanks Kjell for the help with the build problem. Thanks for your input, too, Charles. Now I have a new problem that I think has already been solved. I have Tripp Lite Smart1000LCD UPS (usb), but I can't get the newhidups driver to communicate correctly. I found a thread on the development list from last December where Jonathan Freedman described had a problem with this UPS in a thread

Colour Probs with Wine on Debian/Sarge + Ultima Online
I'm trying to get Ultima Online The Second Age running with Wine (installed from the debian package ver. 0.0.20050310-1.1) on my Debian Sarge system. First, I installed the game under wine and installed all available patches. I had no problems during the whole procedure. The game seems to run fine except for the fact that there are only about 8 different colours which makes the game

How do I change samba password from windows in sarge
Hi folks, we have a lan with win and linux clients (pcs work alternating between win and linux-ubuntu, server is sarge). Authentication in linux works with nis. Therefore I substituted passwd by yppasswd. How can y realize password changes in win to get the linux (yp) and the samba password changed in one step? By the way: do I have to substitute passwd by yppasswd on the server too? Thanks

Xen for Sarge && amd64
I am using the "tha" Xen packages from http://packages.debianbase.de/sarge/amd64/xen3/ However, I noticed that some new packages have been uploaded into the NEW queue. What I am wondering is if/when/where the Sarge packages will be made available. If there is no current plan to make them available, I would be happy to help in any way that I can. -Roberto -- Roberto C. Sanchez

Debian Sarge -- cvs vs. apt-get
After reading the wiki, I am still confused as to whether I should install zaptel, libpri, and asterisk from cvs or use apt-get to retrieve the Debian packages. I am running Debian sarge with kernel 2.4.26. What is the prevailing opinion out there about using cvs vs. apt-get for the various components (zaptel, libpri, and Asterisk)? Thanks, Mike Roberts
