State of KVM and CentOS
Hi
I was wondering, what is the state on getting a more updated version of KVM onto centos?
I've found some 3rd party repos by I'm curious if one could expect a new supported KVM soon or will it not get in until EL6?

for loop and if problem
Hi,
I'm heaving difficulties with a dataset containing gene names and positions
of those genes.
Not such a big problem, but each gene has multiple exons so it's hard to say
where de gene starts and where it ends. I want the starting and ending
position of each gene in my dataset.
Attached is the dataset:

"Turtle world" graphics in R
I would greatly appreciate some idea about the best approach to make a
graphical interface of for a turtle world in R.
In the turtle environment, the user controls movements of a turtle
through the command line (e.g. forward(10), turn(5), etc.). The turtle should
be displayed in the new position and heading after each command.
Also, the turtle's path and, possibly, objects (squares,

(svy)glm and weights question
Hi all,
I am running a set of logistic regressions, where we want to use some
weights, and I am not sure whether what I am doing is reasonable or
not.
The dependent variable is turnout in an election - i.e. survey
respondents were asked whether or not they voted. The percentage of
those who say they voted is much higher than the actual turnout,
probably due both to non-response bias and social

IBM''s Starter Toolkit for DB2 on Rails (Windows only, at present)

[PATCH] Btrfs: don't use an async starter for most of our workers
We only need an async starter if we can''t make a GFP_NOFS allocation in our
current path. This is the case for the endio stuff since it happens in IRQ
context, but things like the caching thread workers and the delalloc flushers we
can easily make this allocation and start threads right away. Also change the
worker count for the caching thread pool. Traditionally we limited this to 2

I have been a Quicken user for many years but my upgrade to Mac Lion has ruined that good experience. It seems you do not care about Apple users.

Quicken 2011 Starter Edition, installs, crashes when run
I have a legal version of Quicken 2011 Starter Edition, and I am trying to install it using Wine on my up to date Linux Mint install (Mint 10 "Julia" based on Ubuntu Maverick)
I have tried this a couple of ways: using Wine from the default repos (1.2.10 I think?) as well as wine from the WineHQ site (1.3.11)
I have tried this install method:

FS- ideal starter pack. 1 X100P and 1 Grandstream Budgetone-101
Hi, not sure if it is against the rules to sell second hand equipment in
here but haven't seen anything against it so here it is.
I'm upgrading to 2 lines so I have some spare equipment for sale here.
This is an ideal starter pack and will get you going with 1 line and 1
extension.

Scrolling a tkcanvas non-starter
Hello,
Is it possible to scroll a canvas that has a column of listboxes in it? Does scrolling only work with listboxes and text widgets?
The following code displays the scrollbar, but
- it has no thumb
- does not respond to mouse clicks.
- the vertical height of the tkcanvas (i.e. column1) is unconstrained. It's lower edge is out of view, and the lower button on the scrollbar is out of

JGR starter problems
I'm running R 2.4.1 on SuSE Linux 10.2. My system is an AMD based PC with 2
Gigs of ram and abundant HD space.
I have always run R from the console without problems, but in the interests of
broadening R's user-base, and reducing the complexity of my computing
environment, I am hoping to convince my PTB that R is a viable alternative to
Excel under Windows - heh. Since they like

there are some predefined self-start functions, like SSmicmen, SSbiexp,
SSasymp, SSasympOff, SSasympOrig, SSgompertz, SSflp, SSlogis, SSweibull,
Quadratic, Qubic, SSexp (nlrwr)
Btw, do you know graphic examples for this functions?
